Men who follow the romance to the foreign sea!
1613 September 15, 1613 The process in which Shogen Mukai Tadakatsu made a great deal of cooperation with Masamune Date at the request of Sebastian Piscaino, who was able to dispatch the mission of Europe to Spain.
In 1613, as a policy to solidify the foundations of the Shogunate, one after another, the eyes of daimyo and cultural figures who are trying to flap toward the world, such as the Bantenren expulsion order, the start of trade in Nagasaki Hirato, the prohibition of overseas travel and return. The swell of the era was imminent.
This delegation dispatch can be said to be a great feat of cooperation between the last Shogen Mukai Tadakatsu and Masamune Date, who expanded his dream of overseas trade!
Together with Masamune Date, a big dream was to arrange a public ship carpenter under Shogen Mukai Tadakatsu when constructing the open sea ship San van Poutista in Date's territory, and when sailing, he was under Tadakatsu. About 10 people were boarding, and when leaving the port, a prayer tag for voyage safety was delivered.
It seems that there was a secret rigging with Shogen Mukai Tadakatsu in "Date Sadayama Koji Record Volume 23" and a close exchange with Capitan Sotero.
1635 The 1635 banning the construction of more than 500 masonry vessels and the shipbuilding technology was stopped. This concludes the history of the Tokugawa shogunate Navy. 1641 It was six years before Tadakatsu died 60 in 1641.
It is presumed that he jumped out into the world as a wish of a sea man named Shogen Mukai Tadakatsu, and continued to have the dream of wanting to know a country that he still unknown. The dream was also broken by Edo shogunate's order of isolation. Tadakatsu and Sendai feudal lord Masamune Date, who were said to be pirates, had similar dreams and started taking action to realize trade with Spain, but the dispatch of Tsunenaga Hasekura mission to return to Japan on June 21, 1615, with success in Europe.

According to the records of the Sendai Domain, the ship name is recorded as "Kurofune". The meaning of the ship's name was "baptist, St John," which was used as a reference in Spanish records. It is presumed that the name was named after 1611.6.24, who met Masamune Date and Sebastian Piscino in Edo City, was on the day of Saint John's baptist.
We planned Spanish trade (Pacific trade) and built a Galleon ship with the cooperation of Sebastian Piscino, the messenger of King Felipe III of Spain. With the approval of Ieyasu Tokugawa, Masamune Date appointed Spanish missionary Louis Sotero as a diplomatic missionary and sailed to Rome, Spain via Acapruco (Mexican).
According to the Date Sadayama Koji Family Record, regarding the construction of the Masamune ship, a servant and a public carpenter were dispatched from the boatman Shogen Mukai Tadakatsu with Shogun Hidetada, and "Masamune-kun's Certificate" Tadakatsu to the family. A 2-300 package of Japanese goods has been sent to the family and prays for safe navigational safety.
It can be seen that Shogen Mukai Tadakatsu did not spare any cooperation because it was recorded in "Kodan Burijo" with a number of souvenirs sent to Masamune and accompanied by a boatman from Shogun Hidetada.

The restoration ship at Sun Fan Museum in Ishinomaki City was dismantled in 2021!
Sun Fan Pautsta, which was restored in 1993 on https://www.santjuan.or.jp/about.html, was finally dismantled after September 2021.
It seems that the reason for dismantling is due to the unavoidable corrosion of wooden boats, a shortage of specialized technicians, and soaring maintenance costs.
It seems that there were some calls for preservation.
After a long time of 408 years since September 2021, the Sun Fan Poutista, built in 1613, was able to once again feel the passion of the men who dreamed about the sea of Shogen Mukai Tadakatsu and Masamune Date to foreign countries.
