Special lighting was held at Tokyo Sky Tree on October 10, 10, 10 years after the Tokyo Air Raid and 11, 10 years after Great East Japan Earthquake. Lighting time is from 17:45 to 22:00. On the 10th, the cylindrical "heart pillar" and steel frame in the center of the tower were lit white with the thought of requiem for the victims of the Tokyo Air Raid, which are estimated to be about 100,000. On the 11th, a lighting entitled "Akahana" was lit in hope of the reconstruction of the affected areas in Great East Japan Earthquake. In 2013, this work was adopted when a lighting design proposal was recruited from a local Sumida-ku child on the theme of "bright future", and has been implemented every year since 2014. Considering the affected area as a flower, once withered flowers leave seeds, sprout under the shining sun, lush leaves open, and bloom again, with five colorful flowers (Akake, hibiscus, Marigold, Yuri, Lavender) as motifs. From Chuo-ohashi Bridge to Eitai Bridge, you can see the shine of the Tokyo Sky Tree with the message "I will pass it on to the next generation without weathering the memories of wars and disasters."
