Memory of a famous actor of the past

Do you know [Jisshi Park] in Kodemmacho? Known as the location of a prison during the Edo period, there is a stone monument called "End Land" in Yoshida Shoin, which was executed in Ansei's prison.
In the Meiji era, the site was used for temples and school sites. Jushi Elementary School in this area was established in the process of enriching the educational system. "Tenshi" is a lesson that Tenshi should know in the ancient Chinese history book "Shiji Tsukan" as the ten knowledge that Tenshi should understand. It's a noble naming. Later, when it was developed as a reconstruction park after the Great Kanto Earthquake, this section was named [Jisshi Park].

In the [Minobu Betsuin] next to the park, the rare "Aburake Daikokuten" is enshrined. It is said that there are many traditions in various places that oiled Daikoku-sama and escaped difficulties, but this is the only rare thing in Tokyo.

Memory of a famous actor of the past

This Daikoku-sama is written on the explanation board that the former famous actor Kazu Hasegawa and his wife crossed the temple head priest and built it. Speaking of Kazuo Hasegawa, he was famous throughout the country as the second movie star.

He has appeared in numerous movies, but he has also performed in several films with Chieko Naniwa, a model for the NHK morning drama "Ochoyan". Above all, Kenji Mizoguchi's work "Chikamatsu Monogatari" has two other actors and has a high reputation in terms of content, and is worth a look.

I feel somewhat happy and nostalgic to see the footprints of actors in Chuo-ku, which is closely related to the play. Daikoku-sama's gesture seems to be playing a part somehow.
