I'm busy raising wild birds! ~ Indian spot-billed duck common kingfisher Swallow ~
From mid-May to June, in the Tsukuda area, we have encountered many wild birds raising children.
Today, I would like to introduce Indian spot-billed duck, which I have been introducing every year, common kingfisher for the first time this year, and the swallows of Ginza that were born today.
Indian spot-billed duck chicks cross the Sumida River on the first day of birth
As of this year's observation, there were three nesting locations in Indian spot-billed duck in the Tsukuda area.
One of them is Ukishima. It's a really safe place with dry soil and shade.
During observation, the mother duck crossed the Sumida River for foraging and went to the opposite bank with the chicks born the evening before.
What a strong thing!
I just pray that the boat will not pass through, and until I come back, Harahara, this is the emotions of the human observer.
Some parents and children went from the Ukishima of Ishikawajima Park through Chuo-ohashi Bridge, crossed the Sumida River, and entered the Kamejima River from the Kamejima River Sluice Gate.
I'm taking a break on the boat mooring.
This parent and child had revealed it here overnight.
Indian spot-billed duck's chicks, unlike the common kingfisher and swallows introduced in the future, have to look for their own food as soon as they are born, so they are so strong!
common kingfisher parent and child who was first observed in Tsukuda
We are still observing the fact that common kingfisher nested in Tsukuda since late May.
In recent years, the common kingfisher encounter rate has been several times a year, so it may be the biggest news to nest here in Chuo-ku.
Hinas are born in the nest and are getting bigger and bigger. Females and males were carrying food alternately, but they were carrying two birds at a time.
I finally came out of the nest in June.
Outside, I was receiving food, but yesterday I didn't feed what my parents put in my mouth.
He seemed to encourage him to look for food on his own.
It seems that the real nest has been standing soon.
A swallow from Ginza just born
Is it about time? I was worried that I went to see swallows in Ginza today.
I was there! I was there!
You must have just been born, and your eyes are not clear.
You can check 1, 2, 3, and 3 birds, but it may still be born in the future.
Usually, there are two nests, but this year there was only one.
The parent carries the food every 5 minutes.
It's big.
I would like to continue to observe it.
Wild birds are struggling to save their lives in Chuo-ku, a big city.
We will continue to tell you the charm of Chuo-ku, which has such an environment, through wild birds!
