It's best to see hydrangea under the rainy season sky.

As we approached the rainy season, we began to see the beautifully blooming hydrangea in Chuo-ku. This is Harumi Triton Square Garden. hydrangea is an honorary student who is strong, hassle-free, does not squeeze in the rain, and blooms fine flowers every year.

Siebold, Daughter Rice, and Chuo-ku Shimo hydrangea in the rainy season sky is best seen.

There is a bust of Siebold in Akatsuki Park, near Tsukiji River Park. I came to Nagasaki in 1923 as a doctor and naturalist born in Germany and a doctor of Dutch trading post in Dejima. When I came to Edo with the director of the trading house, I stayed in Nagasakiya in Nihonbashi for more than a month to teach Japanese Dutch scholars and had a great influence. This area is also the birthplace of Edo Dutch studies.

Born with Nagasaki's concubine, Otaki, daughter Rice, was the first Japanese woman to study Western medicine as an obstetrician, and opened a maternity hospital in Tsukiji in 1870.

Siebold loved Japanese culture and hydrangea, and named it Hydrangea otakusa after Mr. Taki. Heidlandia means "water vessel, water bottle".

The bust was presented by the Netherlands for friendship between Japan and the Netherlands. It blooms beautifully in a cool appearance where you can see it from the statue.
