As part of disseminating sake, Hakutsuru Sake Brewery has created "Hakutsuru Ginza Tenku Farm" as a project to make rice on the roof of the Tokyo branch office building since 2007, and cultivated its own developed rice "Hakutsuru Nishiki". I am working on it.

It will be the 15th rice planting in the 15th year.

Rosmari has been introduced here since the rice harvesting in Tenku Farm in 2017, but as the readers who read the article know, rice planting with general customers was carried out in 2018 and 2019, but as in the previous year, Shiratsuru Sake Brewery employees planted rice again this year.

Today, June 15 (Tuesday) is the debut of this year's Hakuzuru Nishiki, rice planting.

Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. Hakutsuru Ginza Style Fukumoto, who always takes care of the introduction of the seminar, was taken care of again.

Mr. Yamada, leader of Hakutsuru Ginza Tenku Farm, also took care of me.

This year's special guests are three of the 2021Miss SAKE finalists.

The plant will be planted with about 30 employees of Hakutsuru Sake Brewery.

・　About rice planting work

　①　Be careful not to pull only the stems of the seedlings and loosen the roots.

　②　Cut off 4.5 seedlings, sandwich them between three fingers and plant them deep.

　　　Try to plant it beyond the rope.

　③　I walk myself and go down to the back and plant it.

　　　Close the holes in the traces of the feet to make it easier to plant next time.

How was rice planting?

At the event called "Nadeshiko Program", I was really surprised when I visited Tenku Farm.

Under the large signboard of Hakutsuru-sama in the middle of Ginza, there is a rice field surrounded by a building, and the scenery where there is Inari-san is very mysterious, in a sense, a very modern Japanese style I felt.

Actually, I used to make rice fields together from scratch.

It's about doing scraping, planting rice, and finally harvesting.

I did it with a nostalgic feeling.

I used to work for a broadcasting station in Sendai before, so I was planning to make a rice field right next to the broadcasting station.

It's an important place under the TV tower, but it was also great nature.

It was an annual project. It wasn't a sake rice.

It was about planting deeply, how was it?

There is a lot of mud, so if you go too far, it seems that everything will sink.

I wondered if I had to go with exquisite power, so I enjoyed it while challenging.

I was born in Osaka, but as soon as I was born, I came to Tokyo and grew up in Setagaya all the time.

ーWhat would you like to do with rice harvesting?

Even if rice planting is delayed, we will catch up if the weather is good in the future.

Every year, there is a rice fair, I decide the grade.

I'm harvesting rice at the same time, but I'd like to be able to delay it a little more.

I'm worried that it may be delayed depending on the weather because it rains after the tray.

In today's weather, it will grow more and more, so I think we will catch up.

ーThis year's rainy season is going to be shorter.

Well, the rainy season was three years ago, and the rainy season was early.

In that regard, it is not a bad thing for rice.

The water is automatically managed by people.

No, I haven't drunk yet.

How about the soil?

We do soil analysis every year, and we see that there is not enough fertilizer components in winter, and add fertilizer.

This year, we have confirmed that nitrogen, zinc and iron are well contained, so we don't have much land.

This year we are planning to topdress.

I intend to do fertilizer management (hibaikanri: control of fertilizer).

ー Mr. Fujishiro has been doing it since he was the director of Kotano, right?

I became a disciple of Mr. Kotano and studied.

There are no other rice fields like this.

Mr. Shiratsuru has the know-how and is just helping with it.
