The Edobashi area also changes dramatically.

I have participated in a briefing session on the Nihonbashi 1-chome East District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project, so I will report it. This project will be part of the redevelopment of the surrounding area following the underground construction of the capital city in Nihonbashi area. The main target area is the east side of Edobashi-Edobashi 1-chome on Showa-dori. As you can see in the photo, it is the area around Nihonbashi Post Office.

An office building with 40 floors above ground (height 240m) will be built on the right side of the buildings in this photo, and an apartment with 52 floors above ground (height 225m) will be built on the left side. In addition, a pedestrian deck that straddles Showa-dori will be set up, and a traffic line will be secured to Nihonbashi 1-chome middle district (the area between Nihonbashi River and Choledo Nihonbashi), which will be redeveloped at the same time. Office buildings will be completed in fiscal 2030 and condominiums will be completed in fiscal 2034, so they will be completed before the capital underground.

The photo was taken from the Edobashi North Intersection. The area from Edobashi Kitazume to the east along the Nihonbashi River (left side in the photo) is also eligible for this project. The underground tunnel of the Metropolitan Expressway passes under this area, and it seems that there is an exit in front of Koamicho Children's Park ahead. Fortunately, there are no buildings in this area, making it a green space where you can enjoy the scenery of the Nihonbashi River. Completion is the same as the tunnel in 2037. Edobashi is a walking course for dogs in my home, but walking in a new park requires a very long life. I have to live a long time!
