Nihonbashi Muromachi Steam Clock SDG’s
On the explanation board, it is written as follows.
The Nihonbashi Steam Clock was set up as a symbol of the efforts of the Nihonbashi Energy Center, located under the building. Nihonbashi Energy Center is Japan's first initiative to create electricity and heat through high-efficiency large-scale generators and district heating and cooling and heating, and to supply this building to approximately 20 existing buildings and large commercial facilities through its own pipe and wiring.
The steam and sound emitted from this Nihonbashi steam watch are inspired by the energy created through this initiative. The clock tower is 6m high, and the clock board surface and the tower body side use the traditional Edo Kiriko basketme, the traditional pattern of Yagi, originated in Nihonbashi.
