Signboard of Tsukiji's shop
Following the previous blog, I remembered Tsukiji Kimuraya, and this time I collected the signboards of the shop in Tsukiji.
Tsukiji Kimuraya
It was listed at Tsukiji Kimuraya, which closed on June 17, 2021, "Oh! Nostalgia and that taste of the Meiji era…The sign. Even in the age of Reiwa, a copy of the signboard that says "Taste of Meiji" as "nostalgia" can feel a strong confidence and commitment to "Keshyanpan".
Miyakawa chicken egg
The handling products "Morotori" and "Chicken egg" displayed on the signboard building wall and the store name "Miyagawa Shoten" (on the corner wall, "No. 77 Hyaku (54) Odaidai Kyoto Den"). The Tokyo Metropolitan Historic buildings was built in 1929, just after the Great Kanto Earthquake. The walls with copper plates create the atmosphere of the early Showa era.
Sugimoto Knife
A signboard of Sugimoto knives outside the construction area, which is typefaced with a blade. Just by looking at the characters, you can directly convey the sense of sharp blades unique to a cutting knife manufacturer that craftsmen finish one by one by one.
Tsukiji Tama Sushi
The face mark of Tsukiji Tamazushi drawn with hiragana "Tsukiji Tamazushi". It is listed in front of the main store. According to the website of Tsukiji Tama Sushi, the motif is the smile of the third generation Takamasa Nakanori (Chairman) when he was young (around 30 years old).
Tsukiji Sushi Ichiban
One of the most prominent signs outside Tsukiji is Tsukiji Sushi Ichiban (4-chome Outer Market Store)'s huge "Extreme Book Tuna". The large signboard of the 3D tuna installed facing Shin-ohashi-dori St. is flashy and very noticeable. The light up at night is also perfect.
Sushizanmai
Finally, it is not a signboard, but a statue of Kiyoshi Kimura (President) of "Signboard President" that is not a "signboard daughter" of Sushizanmai. It looks like a statue of KFC's kernel Thunders. Outside Tsukiji, there are four stores: head office, annex, new building, and Honjin.
There seems to be still an interesting shop sign.
Added:
It's a lonely news. Adachiya, a tofu shop in Tsukiji, founded in 1917, was closed at the end of July 2021.
