Scenery where Monet was ~ Where is that place in "Okaeri Monet"? ~

The world is excited at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, but today it's another matter, can I get a little shy?
"Monet-chan is in Chuo-ku! ! ! 」
One of my favorite RIEdel in the morning drama is this line that I have always wanted to scream since "Okaeri Monet", in which actress Kaya Kiyohara plays the heroine, began. I finally told you!
Oh, yeah, yeah…(*´Д`)
This time, we will introduce the scenery and buildings of Chuo-ku that often appear in "Okaeri Monet" with photos.
(Kaya Kiyohara was there) and looking at it, it's double the fun.♪

Where did Monet get off the water bus on the first day of moving to Tokyo?

For those who do not know the serial TV novel "Okaeri Monet", if you introduce a little drama outline, "Okaeri Monet" is a story that Momone Nagaura (aka Monet), born and raised on a small island off Kesennuma City, Miyagi Prefecture, delivers a happy future to people through the work of a weather forecaster.

Monet, who came to Tokyo to work as a weather forecaster, takes a water bus from Asakusa on the first day of moving to Tokyo. After enjoying Tokyo-like scenery such as Tokyo Skytree and Asahi Breweries headquarters building from the boat, she got off the water bus at the Akashicho (in front of St Luke's Garden) dock in the lower part of the Sumida River.
Yes, the stage from here is Chuo-ku!

The Cosmos, where Monet might have been on, just off.

After getting off at the dock, Monet begins to move north on the Sumida River Terrace based on a map of his smartphone, aiming for a boarding place in Tokyo.
By the way, the destination of the map on Monet's smartphone was "Higashi Tsukiji, Chuo-ku", but this is an address that is not real. Considering that I moved north in front of St Luke's Garden, is the setting that Shiomiyu, the boarding house of Monet, is located around Akashicho or Minato?
In addition, there are currently eight public baths in Chuo Ward, but there are no public baths with a classic appearance like Shiomi Yu in the drama. The exterior of Shiomi Yu seems to have been photographed at a public bath in Ota-ku.

On the first day of my trip to Tokyo, Monet was walking around the Sumida River Terrace with a yellow backpack on his back

Bridge over when Monet goes to work

Monet is busy on his first day in Tokyo. After finishing the greeting to the boarding house, we will head for a preview at WeatherExtract Parts, which will be interviewed the next day. At that time, Monet crossed Kachidokibashi in the photo.
In the drama, there was a shot from Tsukiji side to Kachidoki side and a shot taken from the opposite side.

When we crossed from Tsukiji to Kachidoki, Monet walked down the sidewalk downstream.

I was impressed with the appearance of walking comfortably toward Kachidoki while looking at the blue sky

By the way, if you shoot with iPhone from the position where the photographer who was shooting from Kachidoki side in the drama would have been, it actually looks like this ↓. It's so far away!

Shooting from under the tower near Kachidoki toward Tsukiji

Looking at the broadcast video, the wall tiles of the tower (operation room) near Kachidoki are in front of the right hand, and the signboard of the Kadoyama Main Building in Tsukiji on the other side can be seen, and the expression of Monet is also perfectly reflected, but such a painting was impossible with my iPhone. Laugh
The performance of camcorders and zoom lenses used for shooting TV dramas, and shooting technology that captures the subject by focusing from a distance. Both are great!

What is the building of Monet's Workplace Weather Extract Parts?

Now, Monet's lines in the drama suggest that her boarding house and workplace (Wether Extract Parts) are close enough to walk.
Where is that building with Weather Extract Parts Inc. actually located?
Actually, that's the event space "CROSS DOCK HARUMI" in Harumi.
If Monet's boarding house is Akashicho, it's about 20 minutes on foot to this point. It's a pretty realistic setting.

Where can I shoot a three-piece arch?

There was no appearance of Monet-chan, but in the drama, three arches over the Sumida River twice so far? There was an impressive bridge.
I want to take a picture of that beautiful bridge! There may be some people who think.

Photographed from Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge

Yes, this is a picture taken at the same angle as the drama. You can see a beautiful three-piece arch.
However, this is not actually a triple arch, but a combination of Kachidokibashi arch and Tsukiji Ohashi arches.
Standing on Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, one upstream from Kachidokibashi, you can see the large arch of Tsukiji Ohashi from the two arches of Kachidokibashi in this way, and it looks like a bridge of three arches.
The person who designed Tsukiji Ohashi would surely have drawn the arch line while imagining this landscape.
By the way, on the right side of the photo, you can see the landing in front of Akashicho and St Luke's Garden, which I introduced first.
Or maybe you’re going to see Monet? (It's a lie, laugh)

When the situation of the new coronavirus calms down, please come to Chuo-ku to see the scenery where Monet was!
