Motoyoshihara, which is full of reeds
Nihonbashi Ningyocho had a playground "Yoshiwara" installed for 40 years from 1617 in the early Edo period (1617) to 1657 (1657).
There is Daimon Street north and south in the center, and at that time it was called "Yoshihara" in the reed marshland, but it was changed to "Yoshiwara" using the auspicious "Yoshi".
It is said that only Daimon entered and exited, and it was said that the moat was drawn from the Hamacho River on the east side and surrounded all sides.
Suehiro Shrine is located in the southern alley, and has been worshiped as the total guardian of Motoyoshihara.
How about walking around the city while guessing from literature and old maps?

◆Former Yoshihara
It is presumed that the current Nihonbashi Ningyocho 2-3-chome and a part of Nihonbashitomizawacho are added.
