Behind the Kidai Shoran

On the underground passage in front of Mitsukoshi, there is Hirodai Shoran, which is often featured on correspondent blogs. However, there is something interesting in the back (Kanda side) ...

Actually, I was embarrassed to know Kidai Shoran because of the sightseeing test, but I knew what was behind it for a long time (^ ^)

Whatever it is...

The back of the aisle is the world of the Mesozoic

The back of the passage is at the back of the Mesozoic World Kidai Shoran

There are a huge number of ammonites and belemonites on the outer wall of the pillar of the underground passage with dozens of pillars!

The world 200 million years ago suddenly spreads behind the Kidai Shoran in the Edo period.

Ammonites in the Mitsukoshi Main Building and Takashimaya Nihonbashi Store have long been famous, but the number of ammonites in the aisle built in connection with the construction of subway stations is overwhelming.

This outer wall material seems to be a German marble called "Julai Herault" (Yura Yellow). Jurai Herault, yellow of Jurassic. That's true (laughs).

According to the following site, it seems to be used in quite a variety of places, such as Akasaka Sacas and Horyuji Temple building in Hiroshi Azuma.

Ammonites are also available at Ningyocho Library (Nihonbashi Elementary School)

The Ningyocho Library (Nihonbashi Elementary School) also has ammonites behind the Kidai Shoran.

In Chuo-ku, I found that this marble was used in the lobby of the Ningyocho Library.

As you know, this building is also used as an elementary school building, so it may be popular with children.
