Robot Café "DAWN" in Nihonbashi Honmachi
[Olyi Institute] The permanent laboratory shop (Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku) run by "Alternate Robot Cafe DAWN ver.β" was introduced on October 31 (Sun) on Nippon Television's "Bankisha", so I visited on November 2. The alter ego robot OriHime opened in the Nihonbashi EAST area (Honmachi) on June 21, 2021, as a laboratory where reception and service are deployed. I have received permission from the store manager to introduce it on the blog, so I will briefly introduce it.
OriHime Co., Ltd., which develops and provides alter ego robot "Orihime" (Orihime), is an IT bencher company that develops "Alternate Robot Cafe DAWN ver.β" (Done version beta), which operates alter ego robot to serve customers with people who are difficult to go out due to intractable diseases or severe disabilities. The permanent laboratory is located on the 1st floor of Nihonbashi Life Science Building 3, 8-3 Nihonbashi Honmachi 3-chome, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, at the intersection of Showa-dori and Edo-dori St. The cafe store has been jointly operated with Kankaku Co., Ltd., which operates TAILORED CAFE, and has introduced completely cashless payment. I saw the reception robot, but unfortunately when I visited the other day, I couldn't see the robot "Televalista OriHime x NEXTAGE", which brew coffee by remote control.
There are three cafes, Area A [Orihime Diner] Area B [BAR & Tele-Barista (Ba and Telebarista)] Area C [CAFE Lounge (Cafe Lounge)] You can use it properly according to the scene. I experienced only Area C.
Reception robot
When you enter the store, the reception robot will respond. Through this robot, you can talk with people with disabilities remotely, and up and down the robot's arms are performed. The ID card of the person in charge is attached to the bottom of the robot photo. The camera video of my face is sent to a remote location via the Internet, but I couldn't see the face of the responder. He said that he would continue working for one hour this time, and then control the robot "Televalista OriHime x NEXTAGE" that brew coffee. I had no chance to interact with OriHimexNEXTAGE because I was able to stay for less than an hour. I'd like to see it next time.
The atmosphere inside the store
Area B [BAR & Tele-Barista] and Area C [CAFE Lounge (Cafe Lounge)] are like the attached photo. I entered the store around 10:30, 30 minutes after the opening of the store, but it seemed that there were already two disabled people working in Area C facing Showa-dori. Of course, the Wi-Fi environment is well maintained, so you can work comfortably.
Payment is not cash-free and full-pay payment. The receipt (receipt) will not be issued on the spot, but will be sent by e-mail by entering the address yourself. Since the Ori Institute, which participates in the experimental store, is an IT company, we will continue to add innovative rationalization functions in the future.
