Tokyo Dumbo

I went to the underground PR room in Nihonbashi.

I heard that there was a PR room to introduce the construction of the Nihonbashi underground on the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway, so I went there immediately.

Mr. Tsunoda (Sumida) Construction Manager of Nihonbashi Construction Office, Renewal and Construction Bureau, Metropolitan Expressway Co., Ltd., was informed.

In the PR room, there are models, explanation panels, and large displays that show the entire underground business.

There are several videos on the large display, and this time I saw "Edobashi Interchange on the river and near Nihonbashi".

Although it is a bit difficult to understand on the screen, the video of erecting a bridge girder over Nihonbashi in color images is very interesting, and the photo shows the most train of Toden running the next morning after the bridge girder was built.

When connecting the bridge girder, it is valuable to see the work of making the rivets that are no longer used now.

In addition, although there is a gap in safety initiatives from now, I felt that it was an era when people working were working with pride and were excited for the Olympics.

Of the other videos, the lower two are also being broadcast on YouTube, so I saw it immediately after Tokyo Dumbo returned.

The young employees of the Metropolitan Expressway Company explained, which was easy to understand and had a good feeling.

The model is colored and indicated by the newly created part, and is color-coded by structures such as elevated, excavated tunnels, shield tunnels, retaining walls, etc. The removal part was a transparent part and was removable.

The underground part is also expressed, making it easy to understand the complex intersection with the Ginza Line, Hanzomon Line, etc., and the relationship with the Nihonbashi River.

In addition, the model was on a table up and down, and the underground part could be seen without bending, and consideration was given to make it easier to see the eyes.
