Koedo Itabashi

My blue sky-a new style of Kabuto-cho~

I had the opportunity to walk around Kabuto-cho in early winter.

This area is the center of Japan's financial and economic activity, with a number of securities companies at the core of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The weekend in Kabuto-cho was wrapped in a surprisingly bright atmosphere.

The young ladies were walking in the sun, with ice cream and hot docks in their hands.

However, there was a calm holiday time that was different from the tourist destinations.

The flag of "Shibusawa Road" is fluttering in the building street illuminated by the sunlight.

The site of the National Daiichi Bank and the area around the Tokyo Stock Exchange, where Eiichi Shibusawa was involved in the establishment, were named "Shibusawa Road" as a mark of the activity.

Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry located in Marunouchi Nijubashi Building (Chiyoda-ku).

On the first floor, there is the statue of Eiichi Shibusawa, who became the first president.

The height of 1.5m is said to be almost life-size.

Sweets from Nisshokan

Nisshokan's Sweets My Blue Ten-New Style of Kabuto-cho-

The Nisshokan is located next to Kabuto Shrine, known as the guardian of Kabuto-cho and the financial guardian angel.

This is the place where the mansion of Eiichi Shibusawa was built facing the Nihonbashi River.

The building, which was built in 1928 (Showa 3), has been renovated and is still used as an office building to preserve its historical value.

Tyr's teal, a specialty store for chocolate sweets and gelato, has opened in a part of the museum.

I chose Gelato's "Amaou & Yuzu".

Oh. I feel like I'm having strawberries. You can enjoy plenty of sweet and sour juice of the ingredients.

It was a choice associated with "Akaishi", which Eiichi Shibusawa loved.

"Akaishi of Sado" said Eiichi Shibusawa prayed for the development of the Japanese economy and placed it close to him.

It was exhibited at the entrance of the Nisshokan, but has been relocated under "The HEART", a large cube-type LED display of "KABUTO ONE", which opened at 7-1 Nihonbashi Kabutocho.

It is also fun to walk around Kabuto-cho to touch the lucky stones and fulfill the long-cherished wish.

What's this Spanish-style building?

The first floor is stone-painted, the second floor is tiled up, the roof is Spanish tiles, and a round window with decorations.

A stylish building that seems to be in the theme park.

This is Kabuto-cho. It is an active office of Yamani Shoken.

If you look through the window from the coffee shop of Hotel K5 across the street, you will feel like you're warped overseas.

The main building of the Bank of Japan is located in between outer moat.

On the site of a long-established store

One of the classic images of Kabuto-cho was Matsuyoshi, the oldest eel shop in the neighborhood, and it was the appearance of securitiesmen who scratched the eel.

It is a gen-supplier that the stock price will rise up.

"Matsuyoshi" closed about 70 years at the end of 2018.

On the site, Asia's first Sueden beer bar, Omni Polo Suto Kyo, is open.

Well, it's a colorful shop. When you enter the store as Izakaya from the appearance of the store and think that it is an izakaya, the stimulus that jumps into your eyes increases the tension.

A bronze statue standing in Asukayama Park (Kita Ward). We moved mansion from Kabuto-cho to Asukayama and continued various activities.

In the park, there are Taisho architectures such as late Kolu, a Western-style tea room, and the Aobuchi Bunko, which are also open to the public.

Stores that have created a new style

Eads "easy" is a sophisticated urban patisserie.

I think it is one of the stores that changed the image of Kabuto-cho.

The price of the cake is the same as the izakaya "Nebatoro-don", which I ate for lunch at Kabuto-cho.

Enjoyment of aroma, ingredients, texture, acidity of fruits and sweetness of cream, afterglow herb.

Obviously, it's a cake that adults enjoy.

How would you like to eat this cake?

I think it would be nice to have a rich and deep beer.

It's still bright outside. If it's an adult cake, it's also suitable for beer.

A life close to a person

Eiichi Shibusawa statue at the site of the social welfare facility "Nursing House" (Itabashi-ku).

For about 50 years, he has been instrumental in the development of the business.

The driving force behind the flow of people in Kabuto-cho was Taiga drama series's "that the blue sky."

The portrait of the 10,000 yen bill, which was renewed in 2024, became very familiar with the video and the actors' enthusiasm.

Follow the path he walked and think about his life, thought, and achievements.

The vigorous ambition to hit the blue sky is noble.

Even in times of confusion, I want to firmly grasp the blue sky that I want and have the ambition to step forward even if I face heartache events.
