JR East "Hiking from the station" around the waterside area
This "hiking from the station" is ~ from the birthplace of the railway "Shimbashi"-walking around the waterside area of Kachidoki, Tsukishima, and Tsukuda.
I left from Shimbashi Station. Take a map at the south ticket gate and start walking. To Chuo-ku through Minato-ku, such as the former Shimbashi stop. There is a railroad crossing of the Japanese National Railways in front of Hamarikyu.
It is a railroad crossing on the freight service line connecting Shiodome Station of the Japanese National Railways and Tsukiji Market of the Tokyo Metropolitan Wholesale Market. Shiodome Station was Shimbashi Station, the first train station at the time of the opening of the railway in Japan, but in 1914, when Tokyo Station became the central station, this became a freight station. When the Tokyo City Central Wholesale Market was completed in Tsukiji, there was a track for transporting luggage between Shiodome Station and the market, which played a major role. There is an explanatory version that the traffic light that has supported the kitchen of Tokyo residents' lives will be preserved here when the Japanese National Railways was abolished. The Shiodome River was also flowing.
Bridge over the place where the Owari Tokugawa family was located
On the way from the railroad crossing to Tsukiji Ohashi, there was a place where the Tsukiji Shimoyashiki of the Owari Tokugawa family was located during the Edo period. At that time, there was an Iribori, which became the logistics base of the Owari clan. In the Meiji era, a naval facility became a site for the Tsukiji Market in Tokyo Central Wholesale Market after the Great Kanto Earthquake. In this bridge, the railway service line from Shiodome to the market will be renovated into a general ward road, and a new railway bridge will be replaced with a road bridge. It was named "Shin Owari Bridge" to leave the name of Owari Bridge.
From Tsukiji Ohashi
The ruins of the Tsukiji Market have also been completely vacant, and construction is continuing.
You can see Kachidokibashi from the center of Tsukiji Ohashi. The right is Shingetsu Shimakawa seen from the east end.
Tsukishima Daini Children's Park "Peace Monument"
The monument set up based on the purpose of the "Heiwa, Chuo-ku City Declaration" was set up in 2011 in cooperation with people with disabilities in the original drawings created by children of 16 municipal elementary schools. The theme is "realization of a world without nuclear weapons in the hope of peace."
For lunch, monjayaki at Tsukishima
I came to Tsukishima Monja Street. After all, lunch is monjayaki. You can also see people with a map of "Hiking from the station". It's fun to have them baked at the shop and watch them finished, and the taste is transmitted from your eyes. Huff Huff started eating the first spatula, and I was worried that "If you don't eat it quickly, you'll burn it?" Each time it was burned, the taste changed, and until the last bite that burned slightly, it was truly a gourmet representing downtown. My body warms up and I'm back and I'm leaving again.
From Ishikawajima Park and Tsukuda Park to Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge
Behind the Aioi Bridge over the Sumida River, walk over the Super dike toward Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge. After passing River City 21, the old streets and the latest buildings are living together, such as the ruins of Ishikawajima Lighthouse, Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine, and Tsukudaniya from the Edo period. Crossing the 220m long Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, the Tsumita River spreads beyond Chuo-ohashi Bridge, and you can feel the large view of Chuo-ku.
You can walk freely at your own pace except to start within this "hiking from the station" reception time and finish by the goal time on the same day. The goal time was 16:30 on this day. It is a recommended walking event where you can easily understand even for the first time because there is a map, and you can see wonderful scenery with view points. It will be held until the 13th of this month.
