[The 15th Excursion Series] Yakushi Nyorai found at a temple where azaleas bloom

Hello. I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
During the consecutive holidays, I heard that azaleas were in full bloom, and went to a place where I missed the opportunity last year.
That is Togakuin Temple in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture!

Then, what kind of connection does Tokaku-in have with Chuo-ku?
As you may know, this time we will also introduce it as a measure for Chuo-ku sightseeing certification ^^

"Kayabacho Yakushi" What is Chisenin?

"Kayabacho Yakushi" is Chisen-in [15th excursion series] Yakushi Nyorai found at a temple where azaleas bloom.

In Kayabacho, Chuo-ku, there is Chisen-in Temple, a temple founded in 1635 as the branch temple of Kanei-ji Temple in Ueno.
main deity is Yakushi Nyorai, and is said to have been made by Sozu Eshin (Genshin) in the middle of the Heian period.
In the Edo period, Yakushi Nyorai was located in Sanno Gyosho (now Hie-jinja Shrine) as the main Buddha of Sanno Gongen, but has been enshrined in Tokakuin in Kawasaki since the influence of Anti-Buddhist movement in Meiji period.

In the Edo era, Yakushi religions that benefit to cure illness were thriving, and Chisen-in was called "Kayabacho Yakushi" and gathered the religion of the common people.
In fair, which was held on the 8th and 12th of every month, Ueki City, which is held in the evening, seems to be particularly crowded, and the appearance can be seen in the Edo Famous Zoukai.
