A window with a view of infrastructure in Ginza
On the way from Ginza 1-chome to 4-chome on Chuo-dori, there is a small window at the end of the stairs going to the basement of Matsuya, where you can see "Ginza Kyodo Mizo". According to the information board, in October 1968, a common ditch was built on the sidewalk from 1-chome to 8-chome on Chuo-dori with all infrastructure facilities.
Gas, water and sewer mains are on the building side, ceilings are signal cables and disaster prevention spring coolers of the Metropolitan Police Department, and power and telephone cables are on the road side for 2 km.
The construction has been safe and protected without digging the sidewalk, making maintenance easier. The city without telegraph poles is beautiful, and you can walk safely even in pedestrian paradise.
