In the latter half of the 9th century, this land was called Fukutoku Village, where Inari God, who controls grain and food, was enshrined in sacred shrine forest.
This Inari god has been the curse of warlords such as Yoshiie Minamotono and Michio Ota since ancient times, and Ieyasu Tokugawa and Hidetada also visited.
Hidetada, the second shogun, praised, "Fukutoku is a happy god," and saw spring young buds growing from the torii gate (Kuroki Torii) with skin of Fukutoku Inari at that time. I named it "Inari".
