Spring performance! Let's walk
The first part of "Tokyo Sky Tree" seen from the Sumida River Terrace

Hello, this is the new correspondent "Take-chan".

This time, we plan to take a look at the Tokyo Sky Tree from Ryogoku Bridge to the vicinity of the mouth of the Sumida River while walking around the Sumida River Terrace.

Since the distance is a little long, in the first part, we will walk along the right bank terrace of the Sumida River to the vicinity of Chuo-ohashi Bridge.

Before walking, I learned a brief lesson about "Tokyo Sky Tree".

Prologue

Prologue Spring Honban! Let's walk The first part of "Tokyo Sky Tree" seen from the Sumida River Terrace

The starting point this time is Exit B1 of Toei Asakusa Line Higashi Nihonbashi Station (Toei Shinjuku Line Bakuro-Yokoyama Station). Follow Kiyosugi-dori for about 50m and turn left at "Higashinihombashi Intersection" to Miyuki-dori. The "Tokyo Sky Tree" of Osako power appears in front of you. The distance to the Sky Tree is less than 3 km.

Follow Miyuki-dori to Nihonbashi Junior High School and turn left. If you go a little along Hamacho Riverside Street, Ryogoku Bridge is right there. Cross the traffic light at "Ryogokubashi West Intersection", descend from Petit Square (Ryogokubashi Children's Amusement Park in Chuo Ward) to Sumida River Terrace and start production!

From Ryogokubashi to Shinohashi

Well, this is the start of production! First of all, let's walk toward Shinohashi. People called the local "Hanamori-san" seem to be taking care of the flowers, and the flowers that bloom in the scattered flower beds will heal your heart. Look at the Tatekawa Suimon on the opposite bank, and there is the Hamacho Pier near the Sumida River Road Bridge (Municipal Expressway No. 6 Mukojima Line). It seems to be used as a disaster prevention base in the event of a disaster. On the terrace wall near Hamacho Park, there are ukiyo-e paintings depicting Ryogoku Bridge and graduation paintings from elementary and junior high schools in Chuo-ku, making it look like an outdoor art museum.

From Shinohashi to Kiyosu Bridge

Kiyosu Bridge is about 600 meters from Shinohashi. You can see "Wanwan Square (Dog Run)" right away. The rescue boats "Hamakaze" and "Kiyosu" at the Nihonbashi Fire Station Hamacho Branch Office, which are also active in Tokyo Minato matsuri. At the mouth of the Onagi River on the opposite bank, it is 600m full of view as "Mannenbashi" depicted on the thirty-six views of Mount Fuji in Katsushika Hokusai. Probably, the area where "Hamakaze" and "Kiyosu" are anchored is thought to be the "eastern end" of Chuo-ku. "Take-chan" is somehow attracted to the word "edge" of "the northernmost" or "the southernmost tip". 。

From Kiyosu Bridge to Sumida River Ohashi

Spring performance from Kiyosu Bridge to Sumida River Ohashi! Let's walk The first part of "Tokyo Sky Tree" seen from the Sumida River Terrace

It takes about 350 meters from Kiyosu Bridge to Sumida River Ohashi. Near the "Hakozakicho Pier", there is a uniquely shaped building (river gate) like a gate. Compared to other bridges over the Sumida River, the Sumida River Ohashi has a practical design, but it is actually the only two-layer bridge on the Sumida River.

In addition, Sumida River Ohashi is also famous as a night view shooting spot. If you look at the north side, you can enjoy Kiyosu Bridge and Tokyo Sky Tree, the south side is Eitai Bridge lit up in blue, and the skyscraper of the tower apartment on Tsukuda Island.

From Sumida River Ohashi to Eitai Bridge

Spring performance from Sumida River Ohashi to Eitai Bridge! Let's walk The first part of "Tokyo Sky Tree" seen from the Sumida River Terrace

It takes only 350 meters from Sumida River Ohashi to Eitai Bridge.

Eitai Bridge originally seems to have been about 150m upstream than its current location. Near the original Eitai Bridge was built, the origin of the name is written along with the "Toto Famous Eitai Bridge Complete Map" drawn by Hiroshige Utagawa in the late Edo period. Let's check it with your own eyes.

On the way from Sumida River Ohashi to Eitai Bridge, the terrace is temporarily cut off. Cross the Toyomi Bridge, which spans the mouth of the Nihonbashi River, and return to the terrace again from the base of Eitai Bridge.

From Eitai Bridge to Chuo-ohashi Bridge

The terrace from Eitai Bridge to Chuo-ohashi Bridge is Shinkawa Park. This park, which is also famous as a location for dramas, has the best view on the Sumida River Terrace, has a sense of liberation, and you can enjoy the picturesque scenery you want to watch forever.

The Sky Tree seen from the top of Chuo-ohashi Bridge is the best choice of Take-chan.

Well, the first part is over here. In the second part, walk along the left bank terrace of the Sumida River and aim near the mouth of the Sumida River.
