The photo above is a photo of the venue. There are 22 photos and a slide show with a large TV. The Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal opened on May 23, 1991, the 50th anniversary of the opening of Tokyo Port. After that, as cruise ships become larger in the course of about 30 years, ships larger than the girder height of the Rainbow Bridge (approximately 52m) appeared, and the Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal, located at the back of the Rainbow Bridge. Cruise ships that cannot be shored are now in service. Therefore, in front of the Rainbow Bridge, the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal was set up in the Aomi area in the Tokyo coastal area. Thus, on February 20, 2022 (Reiwa 4), the Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal was closed and ended with a 31-year history.

The Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal was the gateway to Tokyo Port, with various domestic and foreign cruise ships calling at the port, setting the stage for a gorgeous welcome and welcome ceremony. It was also the main venue for the Tokyo Minato matsuri and the Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival, as well as a location for dramas and movies. This exhibition is a photo exhibition that looks back on the "Harumi Passenger Terminal" so far, including the welcome and reception ceremony of cruise ships, the bustle of Tokyo Minato matsuri, and the construction under construction. We heard a story from the Tokyo Port Promotion Association when creating the blog. After the closure, according to a report in Nikkan Kensetsu Kogyo Shimbun on December 6, 2021, the dismantling began in July and the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal (Koto-ku), which opened in September 2020, will be completed until the expansion of the berthing facility is completed, the policy will eventually be completed and the function of accepting ships.

In addition, "TOKYO Minato Rie" is an exhibition facility that introduces the history, current appearance, and future of Tokyo Port and the coastal subcenter, making use of the view overlooking the Tokyo coastal area from 100m above the ground. You can enjoy a landscape view linked to a 55-inch touch panel monitor that provides various information on the seaside area.
