"Rarebito and Festival" is interesting
The "Rabito and Celebration Festival" is being held at the historical museum TOKYO, which is the cultural center of Nihonbashi Takashimaya. The concept proposed by folk scholar Shinobu Orikuchi, Rabito is a rare person (visit god), and it is said that festivals are mainly accepted by heterogeneous things.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was difficult to find an exit, and I came to think that there are problems in the world that could not be solved by science alone. And when I saw the exhibition at the Historical Museum TOKYO, I saw that there might be hints to survive the present day in this "Rabito and Festival", I had an experience that made me understand.
For some reason, it is said that they will be shy. Rare people (visiting gods), such as Bose in Ishijima, Toshima Village, Kagoshima Prefecture, and Namahage in Akita Prefecture, are entities that integrate different fields, accept and break up Gentiles.
The actual situation and causes of COVID-19 have not been clarified, but if we consider COVID-19 in the concept of rare people, it also has the implications of "producing and chapel", and the idea of coexistence with disease (with corona) seemed natural.
Also, in 2018, "Gods of Masks and Masques" were registered in UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Property in 2018, and visitors who bring happiness across the disaster (the "rabibito" described by Origuchi) attracted attention, so I felt that the perspective of "rabito and festival" could be accepted globally.
