Behind the alley of Higashinihombashi, Minatoya Head Office
I happened to find the Minatoya Head Office behind the alley in Higashinihombashi. Oh, why are you here? I thought it was my first impression.
In 1914 (1914), Yumeji Takehisa opened the Minatoya Ezoko Store near the intersection of Nihonbashi Gofukumachi, Sotobori-dori St. and Eitai-dori St., and sold Yumeji's works. It is as introduced in "Chuo-ku Monoshiri Encyclopedia". A monument is also built on the site.
According to the president, Ryuichi Ohira, since 1986 (1986), he has been selling Yumeji's works and goods, planning and managing exhibitions based here in Higashinihombashi, but here at the head office, Yumeji's handwriting, first editions, reprints, etc. are also available, so if you are interested in woodcuts, please come by all means. The work is in one room on the second floor, free admission.
