"Marronnier" is in bloom. Ginza Maronie Street
Yesterday, I walked along Ginza Street from Kyobashi. The streets that cross Ginza Street have a wonderful name. After passing "Yanagi-dori St." from "Sakura-dori St." in Ginza 1-chome, "Yanagi-dori St.", and between "Bulgari" and "Louis Vuitton" at the 2-chome intersection called brand intersection, cute pink flowers were blooming in the trees of "Ginza Marronnier Street".
Speaking of "Marronnier", the tree-lined streets of the Champs-Elysees in Paris are famous. Compared to that, the streets are narrow and the trees are small, but this street, which is lined with stylish overseas brand shops, features "Marronnier" rather than cherry blossoms and willows.
The pink flower is "Venibana Tochinoki"
I tried a little bit about "Marronnier". "Marronnier" is French, and the Japanese name is "Seiyotochinoki". White flowers bloom around May to June. The pink flower on Marronnier Street is like "Benivana Tochinoki".
In Japan, Japanese native Japanese horse chestnuts and benibana horse chestnuts are often planted as street trees rather than "Seiyo horse chestnuts".
