"Forty six thousand days, it's hot."
July tenth is fair in Kannon Bodhisattva. It is said that visiting on this day has the merit of visiting 46,000 days. Sensoji Temple "46,000 days, Hozuki-shi" is famous.
Kinryuzan Sensoji Temple is the Kannon Sacred Ground with a history from Asuka period and is the headquarters of the Sho Kannon sect, which currently leads 25 branches and 18 subsidiary shrine temples. And "Okannonji" in Ningyocho belongs to the Sho Kannon sect.
The main statue of Daikanonji is the head of the Kannon Bosatsu statue made of cast iron. It seems that he followed a strange fate from the Kamakura period and served in his current location.
This is the third place of the Edo 33 Kannon Sacred Ground.

The Edo 33 Kannon Sacred Ground is a Kannon pilgrimage course in Tokyo. In the Edo period, the tour of Kannon Fudasho reached a major boom, and it is thought that it was founded between 1641 (1641) and 1698 (1703).
Kanzeon Bodhisattva has transformed into 33 streets and rescued people, so 33 Kannon pilgrimages have come to be performed. It is said that the temple was also changed due to factors such as the Shinto-Buddhist Order and the disappearance of temples, and it was newly selected again as the Showa Shinsen Edo 33 Kannon Sacred Ground in 1976.
