 2019 "Yae Kuroryuto" flowering

 On April 18, the Tokyo Regional Meteorological Observatory reported one of the biological seasonal observation information, "Flowing of Nodafuji". 3 days earlier than normal and 12 days later than last year.

"Fuji" is a vine deciduous shrub of the legume family. It is fragrant, and Hanabusa hangs down and shakes by the wind, and it is a gorgeous and elegant flower shape. In endemic species Japan, there are Fuji (Noda Fuji) and Yamafuji, and in general it seems that both species are collectively referred to as "Fuji".

In the Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, wisteria trellis are set up on the ruins of the Yan Liaokan, a small island in the middle of the bridge along the Shioiri Pond, and most are said to be Yamafuji, but purple butterfly-shaped flowers are tufted down in a tuft. It is beginning to bloom from the trunk.

On the wisteria trellis at the entrance of the "Oden Bridge" on the Ochiya side of the Tsubame Ochiya / Hawk Ochiya / Matsuno Ochiya side, the Noda Fuji system "Yae Kuroryuto" (upper left image) is planted and attracts attention. It is said to be a mutation of Kuroryuto, and it is a unique variety of double-flowered varieties with remarkable stamens. Hanabusa is dense and has fallen grape-like flowers.
