A little worrisome building @ Ginza Marronnier Street

The flowering season of Marronnier is from May to early June. So, in this blog post, we will introduce a building with a slightly worrisome design along Ginza Marronnier Street where Marronnier blooms.

Completed: 2005 (Heisei 17)

Design: Toyoo Ito

Location 2-4-12, Ginza, Chuo-ku

Mikimoto Ginza 2, a building like a jewelry box that seems to be the top pearl brand "Mikimoto". The pale pink wall and the glass windows of different shapes and sizes scattered there are impressive. Since the walls support the entire building, there are no pillars in the internal space, so a unique structure (steel plate concrete structure) is adopted.

Completed: 2008 (Heisei 20)

Design: Jun Mitsui

Location 2-5-11, Ginza, Chuo-ku

The V88 building reflects the curve extending toward the sky while swelling, and the surrounding buildings, and the glass part is impressive. It is built with a hard material called stainless steel and glass. You can also feel the size of the Ginza vessel, which casually accepts the unique futuristic film.

A little worrisome building @ Ginza Marronnier Street

According to Issa123's Chuo-ku Tourism Correspondent blog (May 4, 2022), the street trees on Ginza Marronnier Street are not Marronnier (the color of the flowers is white, the Japanese name is white) It seems that it is not a friend of Benibana Tochinoki (flower color is pink).

By the way, the flower language of all the friends of the horse chestnut is "luxury (luxury / luxurious)". I see, it's worthy of Ginza.
