Hello. It's Hanes.
The other day's article "Chuo-ku also #Environment Day is Green! As introduced in the "Green Light Up in the Ginza / Nihonbashi Area", the "Eco Festival" was held at Akatsuki Park on June 5th, "Environment Day".
The Eco Festival is an environmental event where you can enjoy and learn about various environmental issues such as global warming, nature conservation, recycling, and garbage reduction.
I wanted to make "Environment Day" a day to think about the environment, so I participated in the Eco Festival for the first time.
When it comes to environmental events, people tend to have a professional image, such as raising global issues.
However, when I arrived at Akatsuki Park at the venue after 11 o'clock, it was already crowded with many families, and it was difficult to find a bright and friendly atmosphere rather than specialized.
After receiving the venue map and stamp rally mount at the reception, go to each booth.

One of the most popular among children was the Edo bus corner where you can sit in the driver's seat of the community bus "Edo Bus" in Chuo-ku and take photos!
There are few opportunities to sit in the driver's seat, so I think some family members were looking for this corner.
However, the eco festival is not the end of taking pictures.
It is an opportunity to reaffirm that using public transportation such as buses instead of cars can alleviate traffic congestion in the surrounding area and contribute to reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

In addition, the recycling bicycle corner, which repairs and sells abandoned bicycles in the city, is especially popular with adults.
Many people applied, and raffle was taking place.
Not only is it an environmentally friendly initiative that makes use of abandoned bicycles without scrapping them, but it is also nice that it is easy to wallet-friendly with 6,000 yen including security registration fee. .
There was also a corner on bicycle traffic safety awareness, including a bicycle simulator.
The number of bicycle users is increasing due to the sharing cycle that has become widespread and easy to use and commuting by bicycle as part of measures against infectious diseases.
It was an opportunity to reconsider how to ride my bicycle as a bicycle commuting person.

In the venue, a separate station (small home appliance recycling room) that collects used small home appliances will also appear!
I also brought three small household appliances and cooperated in recycling limited resources. .
When we talked to the staff, the collected items are returned to metal, etc., and a new life is blown.
In addition, there were corners for display of electric vehicles, introduction of Tokyo Electric Power and Oze, repair of broken toys, etc., which made me think about the environment and eco at various levels.
This summer, despite the blessed environment where electricity is always supplied stably, power saving is required more than ever due to the shutdown of the power plant due to the Fukushima-ken-oki earthquake in March this year and the global situation.
Before the rainy season begins, why don't you think about eco-friendly heat measures?
In addition, many things are inexpensive and easy to get, and there is a tendency to buy new things without repairing or searching broken or undiscovered items.
I want to make a habit of cherishing things, such as repairing and using something that can be used, or devising and replacing it with something.

At the booth of the Tokyo Metropolitan Waterworks Bureau, a water supply point map that distributes water when a disaster such as an earthquake stopped causing water to no longer come out was displayed.
In Chuo-ku, there are three water supply stations at the time of disaster at Horidome Children's Park, Akatsuki Park, and Harumi Water Station.
It seems that 600m3 of fresh water is always secured underground of the facility set up in Akatsuki Park.
It would be safe to be prepared in case of emergency.
Also, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Sewerage Bureau booth, the use of sewers after the outbreak of major earthquake was introduced.
It's important to read such information on a regular basis, as it's impatient after an emergency occurs!
In Chuo-ku, various disaster prevention measures are being implemented in case of emergency.
For example, GINZA KABUKIZA B2F `` Kibikicho Plaza '' where Kabukiza is located is also a disaster prevention support base in Chuo-ku and a temporary evacuation facility for people who cannot return home in the event of a disaster, and a manhole type simple toilet for disaster countermeasures is also installed. I am.

At the booth of the Chuo Incineration Plant, I was able to enjoy learning about the factory while challenging quizzes.
Last year, the chimney of the Chuo Incineration Plant, which was introduced in "Augmented Reality in Chuo-ku-From the Perspective of Overseas Players", is actually a triangle.
And it turned out that the "chimney constriction" that I was worried about was a design.
According to the staff, a chimney with a focus on the design was completed so that the negative image of smoke coming out of the cylindrical chimney comes out from the tip of the cylindrical chimney and can have a different image.
Certainly, the chimney of the Chuo Incineration Plant is somewhat stylish compared to the chimney of factories in various parts of Japan.

At the Kao booth, there was a lecture on how to wash the hands correctly using foam hand soap.
I actually wash my hands while watching short videos, but it was a good opportunity to learn how easy my usual hand washing was done.
The spread of infection has stopped and daily life is gradually returning, but in such a case, I want to try to wash my hands properly.
In addition, Hinohara Village, where the Forest of Chuo-ku is located, also exhibited.
Corners and workshops where you can experience log cutting with thinned wood from the forest of Chuo-ku are popular with children!
"[Excursion Series 14th] Not just the forest! As introduced in "Chuo-ku" found in Hinohara-mura, benches made from thinned wood may be located in Chuo-ku, so Hinohara-mura is surprisingly familiar.

At the special product sales corner of Hinohara Village, the village image character "Hinojaga-kun" will help you sell yourself.
It is a character born in 1991, but it seems that he is actually 22 years old forever.
At the booth, we also received a pamphlet from Hinohara Village, a piece of cypress from Hinohara Village, which is used as a fragrance and insect repellent, and charcoal made from thinned wood from Hinohara Village.
Every month from May 2022 to January 2023, the "Hinohara Village Nature Experience Tour" hosted by Chuo-ku is being held.
In this tour, programs of various themes are held each time, such as enjoying nature such as forests and clear streams, experiencing manufacturing using charcoal grilling and thinned wood, and listening to the story of foresters that have continued since the Edo period.
If you live, work, or study in the city, why don't you visit Hinohara Village on a tour and touch on the eco-friendly initiatives of Chuo-ku?

And when I visited Hinohara Village, "Potato Ice (Baronimo)" (250 yen), which I wanted to eat, was sold with agricultural products and Hinojaga-kun goods, so I purchased it without hesitation.
According to the booth at Hinohara Village, the last one I purchased before 12:05 was!
Fine potatoes are mixed with milk ice, reminiscent of sweet potato salad.
The texture of ice is impressive, and the milk ice is smooth, so it's delicious and can be eaten as many as you want.
There seems to be "potato ice cream", so I would like you to visit Hinohara Village here.
Lastly, I would like to introduce the novelty and stamp rally prizes from the booth.

In addition to a convenient water supply point map in case of emergency, a document that shows the efforts of the Tokyo Metropolitan Sewerage Bureau, a document that is easy for children to understand, a whole body clean sheet that is nice for the coming season and an eco sponge that raises awareness of eco on a daily basis, etc. I received practical goods.
To summarize the first eco festival in a word, just as described in the publicity of Chuo-ku, "Events where you can learn about eco while having fun."
Rather than seeing and learning through panel exhibitions, I was able to learn about nature and eco-friendly initiatives and the infrastructure that supports our lives through quizzes and experiences.
If you are a resident, working, or studying in the ward that did not meet this time, why don't you participate in the Eco Festival next year?
