Ginza Gallery Tour "Night of Gallery"

One of the features of the gallery's night party is that you can easily enjoy interacting with gallerists and artists. This time, the 20 galleries were exhibited under the theme of "Modern Art First from Ginza", and I was able to see the challenges of contemporary artists influenced by modern art.

Gallery tour

Even if you usually find it difficult to enter the gallery, you can take this opportunity to experience the fun of visiting the gallery and encounter exciting art.

A tour led by a guide was held for those who do not know the location of the gallery and want to go around the gallery efficiently. You can freely enjoy visiting the gallery in Ginza at night.

Five courses were set up, but Tokyo Dumbo has participated in "D Course: Touring solo exhibitions of various genres".

1 Art Grole at Ginza Six → ②Shunsei Gallery → ③Galley → ④Gallery Hayashi → ⑤I visited the Shiseido Gallery and five unique galleries. Following the guide's guidance, I efficiently went around the galleries that were organized in Ginza 6-chome, 7-chome and 8-chome. The walking distance was short and I was able to enjoy it casually.

The story with the artist

Story with Writers Ginza Gallery's "Night Party of Gallery" Gallery Tour

Out of the five gallery tours, artists were present at 1 Art Grole and 4 Gallery Hayashi, and I was able to hear the story.

At Art Grole, a 24-year-old graduate student, Cocoro Nakaura, who loves pink, welcomes you with a pop picture.

Cocoro seems to draw directly on the canvas without drafting, so it is a work where the overwhelming drawing power and color match and get a feeling of excitement.

In addition, there is a work that made the campus fabric into an album, and touching the picture directly was a new feeling.

In the gallery forest, under the title of "Everyday glows light", I was able to see a work that fired clay created by Yumi Yamamoto and expressed soft and delicate clothing.

<clothed, washed, and folded> It is a pottery made based on a laundry model, and it is mysterious to make a sound when hit.

I heard that she was making this work by shaving it out of clay, and it was strange that someone just felt that it had just taken off, causing confusion in her head, and it was very fun.

"Night Party of Gallery" Pamphlet Ginza Gallery "Night Party of Gallery" Gallery Tour

It seems that this "Night Party of Gallery" had been planned for about four years ago, but it is said that the event was delayed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This event, which had a theme as a whole under the title "Modern Art First from Ginza", was able to enjoy how each gallery works, and I felt very ambitious.

This pamphlet has a wide spread, with this exhibition writer on the left side and modern artists who respect on the right side, making it very easy to understand that modernity is connected to the present day. In addition, the design of the cover arranges a gallery in the Ginza district, indicating that it is connected.

Ginza Gallerys plans an event for Christmas next time, and I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of exhibition each gallery will exhibit. There are many galleries in Ginza, but each one has its own personality and welcomes you warmly, so there is no way to miss this opportunity! Don't forget to check the Ginza Gallery's website!
