One-stroke Keijo - Add the view of Ginza-
"One-stroke Ginza" was released from Tokyo Hatoido Ginza Main Store in June 2016 (2016). We have won a prize in the goods category of recommended souvenirs in Chuo-ku. For vertical writing, the Toden running on Ginza Street, willows fluttering in the wind, gas lights that light the city, and "Ginza in Showa" are drawn. The horizontal writing expresses the "current Ginza" seen from the 4-chome intersection in the center of Ginza.
Nakagami has five traditional Japanese colors: chestnut color, indigo color, Fujimurasaki color, Wakakusa color, and Yamabuki color. It is combined.
For Hatoido and for us, Ginza is a city with special feelings, and if you pick up this one-stroke paper, I feel like I was able to write it alone. At this time when the number of exchanges by e-mail increased, when you want to add a word to give something to someone, when you want to convey your feelings such as thanks, apology, casual everyday words, etc. I'm happy to write and get it.
Deliver the season
Silk-printed postcards that appeared in 1978 (1978), seasonal flowers and scenery are drawn, and there are as many as 200 species. It is a popular product and is loved by many people. Silk printing is a method of printing with ink on a plate called a screen, and is the name from the fact that the material of the screen was originally silk. The design of a postcard with a clear and beautiful color is novel, and it's a fun time to get lost in front of the shelf to decide which one to use.
On the first floor of the shop, Japanese tools such as Japanese paper stationery, postcards, Pochi bags, celebration bags, and Chiyogami are beautifully arranged. The abundance of assortment unique to long-established stores seems to be pleased by foreign customers who will increase again in the future.
The elegant tradition from Kyoto is fragrant.
The second floor has incense, incense stick, incense burners, brushes and inkstones. The orderly room is full of scents and makes you feel peaceful. During the Meiji Restoration, Hatoido, which began to make incense from the late Edo period, focused on the education of children and set up an educational school, which became the basis for opening an elementary school. In 1877, Mr. Sanetomi Sanjo, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, gave the secret method of "Maika", which has been handed down for 900 years, and this elegant fragrance of Heian has been carefully preserved and handed down.
Mission to protect, convey and nurture traditional culture
In 1880, in order to work for the palace during the relocation of Tokyo, we set up a store in the four corners of Ginza, which is close to the Imperial Palace and can be reached on a single road, and became the source of the current Tokyo Hatoido.
What is consistent over a long history is the philosophy of "protecting and nurturing traditional Japanese culture." Through stores and products, they spread and teach the richness of the four seasons of Japan, the wonderful craftsmanship of traditional industries, the deep culture-the heart of Japan. We would like to receive it, learn about the traditional event and the traditions of Japan, and live our daily lives richly.
Thank you to Mr. Shimazu and Mr. Tamura of Tokyo Hatoido for their valuable materials and stories.
