Information on Oedo Hawaii Festival 2019
The Oedo Hawaii Festival, which began in 2016, will be held again this year at Bell Sarh Tokyo Nihonbashi for three days from May 31 to June 2!
While you can fully feel the atmosphere of Hawaii such as hula, Hawaiian music, Hawaiian food and goods, there are also demonstrations of Japanese wadaiko and wrestlers, so you can enjoy plenty of cultural exchange between Hawaii and Japan.

--------
The immigration from Japan to Hawaii began 151 years ago in 1868. The first partner of the Meiji government to welcome the head of state as a state guest was King Karakaua of the Kingdom of Hawaii (at that time).
The tradition of hula protected by King Carakaua, called Mary Monarch (a cheerful prince), is still handed down as the world's highest hula festival, the Mary Monarch Hula Festival. You can also see the hula of Kerina Eldridge, who won the "Miss Aloha Hula (the winner of the women's solo section)" at the Mary Monak Hula Festival 2017!
It is also interesting news that the name of Honolulu International Airport was changed to "Daniel K. Inoue International Airport" in commemoration of Daniel Inoue, a Japanese American Senator who served as a Senator for nearly 50 years.
Be sure to experience Hawaii, which is not only an ever-summer resort, but also a deep connection to Japan in many ways, in Nihonbashi.
Below, I tried to write an article in just a little bit of my word (the image has been licensed), but I can't introduce everything because it's too much content (^^;) 。
We will link the press release sent from the Oedo Hawaii Festival Secretariat as it is, so please refer to it. <<Press Releases pdf: 2MB>> Please check the official website for the latest information.
Great things one after another
One of Hawaii's leading musicians, and not only has received numerous awards, but also has been providing Mary Monak with the most songs in recent years, Kuana Torres Kahere, a genius ukulele boy who acclaims that Jake Shimabukuro is also acclaimed, such as Toshiki Kondo, a princesss in the DJ Hula world who has won the award of Miss Hawaii USA, Ariana, etc.
The Arashio room in Hamacho also appears!
The Arashio room in Nihonbashihamacho, the only sumo room in Chuo-ku, which was featured on the correspondent blog.
In addition to the special chanko being served daily, on the last day, there seems to be a demonstration of work and a demonstration of only bun!
