KITOKI, a wooden hybrid building in Kabuto-cho

A new building called "KITOKI" has been built in Kabuto-cho. The design is very unique and conspicuous.

What kind of building is it? I was worried, and when I asked the nearby owner's Peace Real Estate, I heard an interesting story, so I would like to introduce it.

The first thing I was worried about was its appearance. Thick logs are used for the beam on the front, which is very impressive. The chestnut tree logs from Akita are used as they are. A lot of wood is used for the entrance, and the building has a wider hem and somehow resembles a large tree.

It is a design that feels the warmth of wood, which is different from the coldness of metal and concrete.

"KITOKI" is a "wooden hybrid building" planned as part of the ongoing "Kabuto-cho / Kayabacho Revitalization Project". It has been selected as a project to introduce buildings with CO2 reduction effect promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, "Sustainable Buildings Leading Project".

In addition, as part of our social contribution activities, we are also recycling and effectively utilizing domestic forest resources, and reusing wood used in construction as part of our "circular economy (recycling-oriented society and recycling-oriented economic activities)".

It was a building with a new concept that embodys the SDGs.

The place is next to KABUTO ONE, on the other side of Heisei Dori.

"Heiwa Doburoku Kabuto-cho brewery" opens

On June 17, "Heiwa Doburoku Kabuto-cho brewery" will open on the first floor of KITOKI. Heiwa Sake Brewery, which operates this store, is a brewing company in Wakayama Prefecture that brews the popular sake "Kido" recently.

In 2020, "Kido Mumeizan Junmai Ginjo" won the highest award in the SAKE category of the world's largest liquor competition "IWC (International Wine Challenge)".

I'm looking forward to it.
