Hello. I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
The other day, when I was looking for a spot that I had never visited in Chuo-ku on Google map, I found a sign called "Herb Garden" near Saijo Bridge.
I've been around the Tsukiji River Saijobashi Park in Chuo Ward many times so far, but I didn't notice that there was something called "herb garden".
I wanted to check it as soon as I was worried, so I went to the site immediately aiming for the cool time.
The park is wider than I expected, and there is an area in the back with a sign called "Fruit and Herb Sample Garden".
When you step into it, you can see a green space as shown in the photo below.

In addition to trees and flowers found everywhere in the city, such as hydrangea, Abelia, and Yukinoshita, the king of garden trees, Mokkoku, is also planted, and a signboard for "Ginza Willows" is also installed.

However, what I want to know most about this time is whether or not fruit trees or herbs are planted as the name suggests.
When I strolled around the park without expecting much, I saw a fine nutmikan tree.
I'm wondering if there's actually a nutmikan!

Don't check your feet to see if the fruit is falling.
However, two different fruits were falling a little far away.

As a result of looking around the trees nearby, it turned out to be Karin!
I never thought that karin was growing in Chuo-ku.

The other fruit is similar to persimmons, but persimmon trees are not found around them, and after all, they do not know anything.

Also, near the entrance, "Soon-free", known for blackberry without thorns, was planted.
(The tree name plate says "Blackberry Leson Free", but it seems to be "Blackberry Thorn Free".)
March 2020 article "Did you know? As introduced in "Rooftop Park in Chuo-ku", blueberries are planted in Sakuragawa Rooftop Park in Chuo-ku, but the only blackberries that have been confirmed so far are those of Tsukiji River Seimeibashi Park.
It's almost time to harvest, but I couldn't confirm it.
I'd like to see it again later.♪

In addition, there was no tree nameplate, but there was also a splendid tree like a loquat.
On the back of the leaves, there is a cicada shell that seems to be from last year!

In addition, there were some plum trees that were not actually pruned and well-managed.
So far, we've introduced Natsumikan, Karin, Thorn-free, loquat, plum and fruit trees, but at least herbs were planted.
This is Mexican sage (also known as amethyst sage, scientific name: common sage Leukansa).

This sample garden, where fruit trees are planted more than expected, is blessed with shade thanks to the thick and overgrown trees, and I think that the number of users will increase in the coming season.
From the back of the park, you can look down on the capital city, and return to me that this was Tokyo.
However, it is located a little far from the center of Ginza, making it a natural space where you can forget that you are in Tokyo and relax.
It has been five years since I moved to Chuo-ku, but it was a wonderful place to regret, "If I knew it a little earlier!"
It is a refreshing spot especially recommended for those who live and work in the city.♪
