Midsummer 2022

 Midsummer 2022

On June 27, the Japan Meteorological Agency announced that the Kanto Koshin region is expected to have started the rainy season 22 days earlier than normal. . The earliest in the history of statistics since 1951, the rainy season is 21 days less than 23 days in 2018, half the normal year, the shortest rainy season ever. Tokyo, which has reached the summer season, has been a hot day for nine consecutive days from two days before the end of the rainy season to July 3, and has surpassed the eight consecutive days recorded in 2015 and recorded the longest observation history. The unusually hot summer in June was caused by the increased power of the Pacific High, pushing the seasonal rain front quickly north, covered with sultry air, and strong sunlight. The cumulus, also known as the "cotton cloud", is springing up with the upper surface, which is unique to this season. When the surface is heated due to the intense sunlight in midsummer and a strong updraft occurs, it develops vertically and changes to a "cumulonimbus" (commonly known as an entrance cloud), and when it develops further, thunder thunder roars. White clouds are impressive in the summer sky, looking up from Chuo-ohashi Bridge and Kachidokibashi.
