Familiarize with crafts at Gallery Yamazaki Ki
I headed to Nihonbashi Gallery Yamazakigi to see the works of "Sake and Metalwork" held until July 22.
Mr. Yamazaki, the owner, is a person who values the relationship between craftsmen and customers, such as pottery and metalwork.
On the day of the event, there were projects that could only be realized because of the space of the gallery, and it was a fun opportunity to meet the artists, listen to the stories of the work, and see the work again.
Just as there is an art museum that makes it fun to visit, I feel like I was able to meet a gallery where you can touch the personality and work of craft artists.
For future exhibitions, please refer to the exhibition schedule of Gallery Yamazaki Ki.
Following the guidance of the exhibition, we will introduce some of the works in the order of the artist's alphabetical order.
Katsuhiro Akihama's Ryuton
Ryuton in the shape of Pegasus' head
A sake ware that pours sake into a cup where sake poured from the front chest of Pegasus is powered.
Relief of waves and feathers drawn by Mr. Akihama
A work reminiscent of waves from drops appearing on the surface of heated titanium
Yasuaki Obata's skittle bottle
Wood grain gold skittle bottle
Silver row sink skittle bottle
Alley oriental lamp
I wanted to see the scenery that lit in the streets and alleys of my town.
Junichiro Kobayashi's Bottle jail
Name of work: Changes to Bottle jail or incarceration targets
A work in which a sake bottle was imprisoned in a cage in a camp where humans were actually confined
The bottom of the bottle is restrained with clamps, and the cage is shackled, so you may irresistibly like the playfulness.
Bottle stand
An impressive work with a humorous expression of iron that changes depending on the viewing angle.
