ART in MUSIC City Pop Graphics
at BAG-Brillia Art Gallery-

"ART in MUSIC City Pop Graphics" is being held at BAG-Brillia Art Gallery- in Kyobashi 3-chome.

A city pop that colored the Japanese music scene from the 1970s to the 1980s.
As typified by Eiichi Otaki's "A LONG VACATION" and Tatsuro Yamashita's "FOR YOU", artwork reminiscent of the music was very important for City Pop's masterpieces.
It features visual representations of trends at the time, such as resorts, skyscrapers, and fashion, and links to sophisticated urban sounds.

In this project, from famous albums that everyone knows to unknown masterpieces, colorful jacket designs showcase the charms of the city pop.

Tokyo Dumbo spent his high school and college days at that time, and was the middle generation and was the time he listened to music the most in his life. Among them, Eiichi Otaki's "ALONG VACATION" was really popular. It was Hiroshi Nagai who painted the jacket.

On the eve of the bubble economy, it is a bright picture characterized by an impressive blue color that has hope for the future, with the improvement of the standard of living of Japanese people and the leap of Tokyo as an international city.

Many young people also visited this project. It is held until August 14, so it is a very hot time, but please come and visit us. Don't miss it!
