[The 44th Excursion Series] The willow in Ginza that I miss in Nakano City, Nagano Prefecture

Hello. I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
After visiting Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture, as introduced in "[43rd Excursion Series] Visiting Azumino, the hometown of Yanagi in Ginza" to see "Ginza's Yanagi Nisei" on his way home, I headed to Shinpei Nakayama Memorial Hall in Nakano City, Nagano Prefecture.

In particular, I visited casually without being aware of the relationship with Chuo-ku, but rather than the parking lot, I came to see a willow extending the branches sideways rather than above and approach it....

Then there was an unexpected connection with Chuo-ku.
The signboard at the base of the willow says, "This willow is a weeping willow that was sung as" Willow of Ginza in the Tokyo March song composed by Shinpei Nakayama. It is a commemorative tree that was donated in conjunction with the saplings to Ginza, Tokyo from Hotaka-cho, Minami Azumi-gun, Ginza's willow hometown! "

By the way, Shinpei Nakayama's death was from 1887 to 1952.
Azumino willows were given to Chuo-ku to commemorate the reconstruction of the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1932 (Showa 7) and 1987 (Showa 62), so at one of them, the site of this memorial hall It is thought that willows were planted.

However, given that the Shinpei Nakayama Memorial Hall was opened in 1987, the 100th anniversary of its birth, it would be appropriate to consider it a willow given in 1987 instead of 1932.

At the entrance of the memorial hall, a bronze statue of Shinpei Nakayama stands in the direction of the mountain, and on the mountain side, it is confirmed that another willow with thick leaves are planted in addition to the tree mentioned above. Was.
There was no information board here, but maybe it was a willow from Azumino planted at the same time.

The "Ginza willow Monument" located in Chuo-ku is engraved with the number one score and lyrics of "Ginza willow" announced in 1932 (Showa 7).
Lyrics are written by Yaso Saijo and composed by Shinpei Nakayama, as Daruma introduced in the April 2019 article "Ginza Yanagi Festival Dances in Spring Wind" Ginza Yanagi Festival, this song is the sequel to the big hit song "Tokyo March" announced in 1929 (Showa 4).

In "Tokyo March", while "Ginza Yanagi" is sung outside Ginza, such as Marunouchi, Asakusa, and Shinjuku, "Ginza no Yanagi" features lyrics specializing in Ginza.
The willow, a street tree that was destroyed by the Great Kanto Earthquake, will be sung in the "Tokyo March", attracting attention again, and the willow as a street tree will increase the spirit of revival.
And in 1932, when the song of "Ginza Willow" was announced, the "Ginza willow Revival Festival" is being held.
At this time, the willow seedlings from Azumino may have been planted.
