My favorite summer path (Komichi)
When the height of summer has passed, there is a small path that you want to go through as you remember.
"St. Luke Street" is a nickname for the road from Tsukiji 3-chome on Shin-ohashi-dori St. to St. Luke's Tower in Akashicho.
Along the street with a calm atmosphere, there is a small path wrapped in green in the position of the building of St. Luke's International Hospital.
It was late afternoon in summer about 10 years ago.
A good lady sat down on a bench in the middle of the small path, pulling a small cart.
Only next to the hospital, after consultation, or after visiting the hospital.
I was sitting in a thought of something.
The woman's upper body slowly tilted and returned as the sunbeams swayed and cries echoed.
The word "madromi" was broken.
At that moment, it was a special path for me.
There are many types of trees planted
There are so many kinds of trees on the small path that you can't imagine in the city.
Zelkova
Cinnamomum camphora
Yabunikkei
Mukunoki
Japanese white oak...
Some trees grow at a considerable height.
When the wind blows, branches and leaves shake, and light and shadows shake.
In the grass, a plate called "Green Design Award Minister of Construction Award" was installed.
The cicada's squeal is also a mulrtet
Among the several kinds of squeals, Minminzemi is overwhelming others.
As the name suggests, it sounds strong and high with minminminminminminee, so it can be distinguished immediately.
And the reason why this is the absolute place to hear the voice of the cicada is the wall of St. Luke's International Hospital.
It seems to function as an exquisite acoustic wall that inflates the cicada's cry.
West of the small path
The campus of St. Luke's International University on the west side is also one of the elements that make the small diameter wide and bright.
The Toysler Memorial Hall, which was relocated and restored to the courtyard in 1998, was built as a missionary hall in 1933, and is designated as a ward Tangible Cultural Property.
East side of the small diameter
There is a St. Luke Garden, with twin towers on the east side.
Let's go further.
At the end of the building, you can see the flow of the Sumida River.
Because the estuary is close, waves go up and down.
Looking at the sparkling water surface, it seems that sometimes disturbed hearts naturally become calmer.
This series of scenery is the small summer path that I am very concerned about.
