We change the theme every month to create a special feature. This month is "Arashio Room".

The only sumo room in Chuo-ku, Arashio Room

Chuo-ku's only sumo room “Arashio Room” September issue of the monthly “Nihonbashi” 　Special feature "I want to support the Arashio room!"

Near Meijiza, there is the only sumo room in Chuo-ku, Arashio Room. It has been 20 years since it was founded in Hamacho. The number of people who visit from the large windows of the rehearsal hall is increasing.

I would like to support the wrestlers who will play a role in the corner of tomorrow where they study every day.

The character of this month's issue is Wakataka Kageki

He is 180 cm tall and weighs 131 kg, which is not large among sumo wrestlers, but he made great use of his opponent's arms tightened with his elbows. In March of this year, Sekiwaki and Wakataka Keiseki finally won the first Makunai victory in the Arashio room. 　By the way, the new number of the autumn place (Kokugikan on the first day of September 11) has been announced. Ryuho Toyobo was promoted to Shinsekiwaki. Ryu Mito and the sea of Hirato have made a new entry. Itsuno Castle, who won the Nagoya place for the first time, was a reconciliation to return to the third role for the first time in five places. It seems that many Sekitoris in other rooms are coming to the Arashio room to practice in front of this place.

I hope that Arashio will play an active part in the autumn place.
