[Morning activities along the Sumida River] Running course that is easy for beginners
Hello! I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
The other day, I tried running morning activities on the Sumida River Terrace for the marathon event that I plan to participate in soon!
I'm rather short-distance, so it's hard to keep running long distances....
However, one of the attractions of Chuo-ku is that there is a place nearby where you can run without worrying about cars and bicycles ^^
Previously, a senior correspondent (senior runner), Nyanboku, introduced a running course in Chuo-ku and used it as a reference. .
In addition, this time, I would like to introduce an event related to the self-style running course mainly on the Sumida River Terrace and the Olympic marathon.♪
Sumida River Terrace Course, which is easy for beginners to run
This time, I would like to introduce a course that is easy for beginners.
Distance: Approximately 4.2km (approximately 5km in 2 laps of additional running course in Hamacho Park)
Route: Round trip between the vicinity of water level station on Reigishi Island and Hamacho Park (mainly Sumida River Terrace)
Rating: Sukuname (with some stairs)
(Us the running app "Runtastic")
The reason why we recommend this course is that there are many benches and rest spaces for beginners!
If you feel hard and painful from the beginning, running will not continue easily.
Until you get used to it, you need to walk along the way to adjust your breathing, take a break and see the surrounding scenery, so that you can continue happily.♪
Let's take a closer look at this course.
This is the scenery near water level station, Reigishi Island, where the starting point is.
There is not only a bench where you can take a break while looking at the Sumida River before you start running, but also the spirit Kishi Shimashin dot and cross name I introduced earlier are nearby.
If you go a little north on the Sumida River Terrace, you will see Eitai Bridge.
Here, go a little up the stairs, pass between the shops, cross Toyomi Bridge, and return to Sumida River Terrace.
Toyomi Bridge was under construction for a while, but now some traffic is now possible!
(The design looks like a ladder is lying down. At the time of the wooden bridge bridge in 1698, it was also called "Otome Bridge". )
After this, we will follow the path for a while.
Because I often pass each other from those who are running and walking early in the morning, my motivation naturally increases, saying, "I have to do my best!"
Normally, running can be completed only on the Sumida River Terrace, but stop by Hamacho Park so that even beginners can enjoy it, also serving as switching to the second half.
There are plenty of greenery and benches in the park, so it's good to sit down and take a break.
It is a good idea to switch to walking and visit Kiyomasa Koji Temple, which enshrines Kato Kiyomasa.
In the park located at the turning point of this course, there is also a running course of about 390m per lap.
Although it is not included in the map in this article, it will be a course of about 5 km by running 2 laps here, so it is a nice point to be able to adjust according to the distance you want to run!
In the park, there is the Chuo Ward General Sports Center, which is equipped with various facilities such as a pool, golf driving range, and training room.
This is also the official practice venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games "3x3 Basketball"!
As I mentioned earlier, you can use the training room (with showers in the changing room) for 200 yen per hour early in the morning of weekdays, so it is also recommended for those who want to exercise before going to work.♪
When you leave Hamacho Park, just go back on the way you came.
By going back and forth on the same road, you can grasp the sense of distance to the goal, and it will be a little easier for beginners.
The course I introduced this time is an example of what I thought about.
You can take a walk at first, so try to find a course that suits you ^^
