【Morning activities along the Sumida River】 Running course that is easy for beginners
Hello! I'm an active correspondent, Hanes.
For the marathon event that I will participate in soon, I tried running morning at the Sumida River Terrace the other day!
I'm rather short distances, so it's hard to run long distances....
However, it is one of the attractions of Chuo-ku that there is a place nearby where you can run without worrying about cars and bicycles ^ ^ ^
Previously, a senior correspondent (senior runner), Nyanbok, introduced a running course in Chuo-ku and used it as a reference.
In addition, this time, we will introduce events related to self-style running courses mainly on the Sumida River Terrace and Olympic marathons.♪
Sumida River Terrace Course, which is easy for beginners
This time, I would like to introduce a course that is easy for beginners of running.
Distance: Approx. 4.2km (approx. 5km with two additional running courses in Hamacho Park)
Route: Round trip between Reigishi Island water level station and Hamacho Park (mainly on the Sumida River Terrace)
Undulation: Sukuname (some stairs are available)
(Use running application "Runtastic")
The reason why I recommend this course is that there are many benches and rest spaces for beginners!
If you feel hard from the beginning, the running will not continue.''
Until you get used to it, you need to walk along the way to adjust your breathing, take a break and see the surrounding scenery, so that you can continue happily.♪
Let's take a closer look at this course.
This is the scenery near water level station, Reigishima, where the starting point is.
There is not only a bench where you can take a break while looking at the Sumida River before you start running, but also the Reigishi Shimashin Point and Komyoshi I introduced earlier are nearby.
If you go a little north on the Sumida River Terrace, you will see Eitai Bridge.
Here you will go up the stairs a little, pass through the shops, cross the Toyomi Bridge and return to Sumida River Terrace.
Toyomi Bridge was under construction for a while, but now some traffic is possible!
(Designed like a ladder down. At that time, it was also called "Otome Bridge" at the time of the wooden bridge bridge. )
After that, we'll be on the road for a while.
Since you often pass each other from those who are running or walking early in the morning, your motivation will naturally increase, saying, "I have to do my best!"
Normally, it is a running that can be completed only on the Sumida River terrace, but also switching to the second half, we will stop at Hamacho Park so that even beginners can enjoy it.
There are plenty of greenery and benches in the park, so it's good to sit and take a break.
It is also good to switch to walking and visit Kiyomasa Koji Temple, which enshrines Kato Kiyomasa.
In the park located at the turning point of this course, there is also a running course of about 390m per lap.
It is not included in the map in this article, but if you run this two laps, it will be a course of about 5 km, so it is a nice point to be able to adjust according to the distance you want to run!
In the park, there is a Chuo Ward General Sports Center, which is equipped with various facilities such as a pool, golf driving range, and training room.
This is also the official training venue for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games "3x3 Basketball"!
As I mentioned earlier, you can use the training room (with shower in the changing room) for 200 yen per hour early in the morning on weekdays, so it is recommended for those who want to exercise before going to work.♪
When you leave Hamacho Park, just go back to the road you came.
By dareing to go back and forth on the same road, you can grasp the sense of distance to the goal, and it may be a little easier for beginners.
The course I introduced this time is an example of what I thought of even if I was tired.
You can take a walk at first, so please find a course that suits you ^ ^
