Hagi is a collective term for the genus Hagi, a deciduous shrub or perennial plant. The leaves are compound leaves consisting of three small leaves. Inflorescences are created on the upper leaf axils, and butterfly-shaped flowers such as several to dozen red-purple, white, and yellow-white are attached. It is counted as a seven herbs in autumn, and the word "autumn" is applied to "Kusakanmuri", and it is an autumn seasonal word, but in the new calendar, summer to autumn is the flowering season. It has long been popular among Japanese people, and out of about 160 plants written in Manyoshu, Hagi's songs are the most common, 141 are sung while singing, and one is written in the title, totaling 142. There seem to be various theories about the origin of Hagi, but in general, the theory of "life buds" seems to be influential. In addition to "Yamahagi", which grows naturally in the mountains of Japan, it is said that about 40 species such as "Miyaginohagi", "Nishiki Hagi", "Shirohagi", and "Marbahagi", are distributed. "Nusbithagi" is a separate species in the genus Nusbithagi. In Hamarikyu Onshi Garden, we hear that three types of Yamahagi, Miyaginohagi, and Marubahagi are planted around the former Inao Shrine, the site of Non Liaokan, and Shioiri Pond, but the strain around Shioiri Pond has begun to collapse, creating a unique landscape unique to this season.
