When I visited Kisarazu City the other day, I saw the word "It is located at Komyoji Temple of Yosaburo's grave" in the information on famous places on the platform of the station. .
I am still studying Kabuki myself, but I realized that Yosaburo was Yosaburo of a performance related to Chuo-ku, "Yowanasukeukina Yokogushi", and I headed to the temple while watching the Ukiyo-e of Yosaburo and wealth on the wall of the tourist information center.

For beginners of Kabuki like me, I would like to briefly introduce the outline of "Yojo Fukina Yokokushi".
The main character of this performance, Yosaburo, is a young husband of Izuya, a booth wholesaler in Edo.
At first sight in Kisarazu and fell in love, wealth was a concubine of Genzaemon Akama, a local dangerous man.
In anticipation of Genzaemon's absence, he secreted, but became bright, wealth jumped into the sea, and Yosaburo caught could be cut off as much as this....。

Yosaburo, who followed such a miserable fate, had a model, and since the person trained at Konya in Kisarazu, a grave of Yosaburo was built at Komyoji Temple.
We will refrain from posting photos of the grave, but there is also a signboard for guidance, so we were able to hold hands in front of Yosaburo's grave without hesitation.

However, it's not just about Kisarazu! There are also spots related to this performance in Chuo-ku.
Two of them fell in love in Kisarazu and became known for their secret party.
In fact, both of them live, and they will meet again at the Genji store in Kamakura three years later.

The model of this Genji store is a historic site that remains in Nihonbashi Ningyocho, and the site of the residence of Genya Okamoto, the shogunate's priest, Genya Okamoto, who raised his name for the treatment and care of the third shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu who suffered pox!

This performance, which has been handed down to the present day, premiered at Edo Nakamuraza in 1853 (Kaei 6).
The Nakamura-za was originally called Saruwakaza, and a monument indicating the birthplace of Edo Kabuki, is set up at the base of Kyobashi.
