As introduced in the article on Kimitaku's correspondent blog of Chuo-ku Tourism Association (August 20, 2022), the Wako Main Building, which stands at the corner of the Ginza 4-chome intersection on June 10, this year (the anniversary of the time), has been renamed "Seiko House Ginza". The current building (including the clock tower) was completed on June 10, 1932. In other words, it is a renewal to celebrate the 90th anniversary. At this time, Wako Hall on the 6th floor was also renamed Seiko House Ginza Hall, so I was a little worried and applied for coverage.
This is a place to spin the "time" of Japan.

For this blog post, we visited Nobuko Masada of the Public Relations and IR Department of Seiko Holdings (October this year, the company name was changed to Seiko Group) during the exhibition "Living Together-Natural Snuggling-" by Keika Ota (Date: September 1 to September 11, 2022).
About half a century ago, in 1970, the first exhibition "Wako Art Exhibition / Crafts Sculpture Section" was held on the 6th floor where "Seiko House Ginza Hall" is currently located. From this place, which is the center of Ginza and the sacred place of SEIKO, it began with the management's desire to have a responsibility to transmit and pass on Japanese excellent arts and crafts to future generations. We will connect Japanese art and crafts that have been handed down from the past, and the skills and techniques that have created them to the future by transmitting "now".…I think it's a concept like SEIKO, the brand of "time".
From Wako Hall to Seiko House Ginza Hall

In principle, Wako will host an exhibition at Wako Hall. From planning to construction and operation, I have created each and every exhibition with the artist. Taking advantage of this renaming to "Seiko House Ginza Hall", in addition to the previous exhibitions held mainly by Wako, we will rediscover and rebuild the skills of craftsmen and craftsmen of Seiko Group companies in the future. He also considers new forms of collaboration with artists who are responsible for contemporary art while valuing Japanese art and crafts, which are the origins.
It usually takes at least two to three years to prepare for one exhibition, so it's a bit ahead to see what is currently being planned and coordinated, but I'm really looking forward to it.
