What is this monument?
~ Scenery of the border of Chuo-ku-ku ~
Remotely navigate the beloved Chuo-ku, rosemary sea.
This route is often used by Rosmari when heading to Chuo-ku, especially Nihonbashi and Ningyocho.
Take a long underpass from Otemachi Station on the subway in Chiyoda-ku, and go to the ground at Exit B10.
As soon as you go on Eitai-dori St. to your right, you will get to the intersection with Sotobori-dori St. and the "Gofuku Bridge" intersection.
Cross here to enter Chuo-ku.
When you cross the pedestrian crossing, what is there?
There is a monument made of steel in one corner of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation's Gofuku Bridge Building.

Former Nippon Mutual Bank Head Office Building

The Mutual Bank of Japan (one of the predecessors of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) built a head office building in 1953.
The designer was Kunio Maekawa, an architect who left a great footprint in the history of modern architecture in Japan.
The former Nippon Mutual Bank Head Office Building was the first middle and high-rise building in Japan to adopt a steel-framed all-welding method and an extruded aluminum sash, to reduce the weight and industrialization of buildings using outer wall PC panels, and to play a pioneering role in building modern offices.
In order to convey that an important building was located in this area in the history of architectural history and architectural technology history, a part of the materials was preserved and collected at the time of dismantling and installed as a monument here.
In the historical materials exhibition room, some of the aluminum sash and PC panels from the time are displayed.

This is the border between Chuo-ku and Chiyoda-ku, but now it may be a place that you are not very familiar with.
However, in 2027, you will also use the "Subway Otemachi Station B7 Exit" and the "B6 Exit" opposite, which I explained earlier.
This is because, opposite the Gofuku Bridge intersection of this monument, is on the Chiyoda-ku side, but "the tallest building in Japan" is built.
TOKYO TORCH (Tokyo torch), one of the two high-rise buildings, Torch Tower B building.
It is 390m high, 63 floors above ground and 4 floors below ground, and will include offices and multipurpose halls.
The hotel to be invited was announced on November 8.
The Dorchester Collection, a super luxury hotel, will be on the 53rd to 58th floors.
London 2, Ascot, Paris 2, Rome, Milan, Los Angeles Beverly Hills, and Dubai, which is scheduled to open in 2023, if you refer to the above 10 Dorchester collections, it will be around 1 million yen per night in expensive rooms.
