Tamino Shrine, Osaka
The other day, we introduced Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, the head office of Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine, but this time we introduce Tamino Shrine, the "parent's house" of Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine in Tsukuda, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. I will do it.
Tamino Shrine was founded in 869 (869 AD) and enshrines Mikami Sumiyoshi and Sumiyoshi Shijin in Empress Jingu, and is enshrined in Tsukuda, Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka.
During the Tensho era, when Ieyasu Tokugawa was standing here, he worked for a ferry to the Kanzakigawa River, and later gave the divine spirit (Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine, Tsukuda Island) was given. In 1631, Ieyasu Tokugawa was enshrined in Tamino Shrine.
The above-mentioned memorial historic site, "Tsukuda Fishermen's Land", has been selected as one of the 100 Best Historical and Cultural Properties of Fishing Villages to be preserved in the future.
Even now, elementary school students visit each other and interact with Tamino Shrine in Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka City and Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine in Tsukuda, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. The stone pillar in the photo is engraved with the name "Sumiyoshi Tsukuda Komoto, Chuo-ku, Tokyo".
