From Tsukiji to New York
The border measures have been eased, and foreign tourists have come to see it, so I am happy.
In September, "DASHI OKUME Brooklyn" was opened in New York as the first dashi specialty store in the United States. In DASHI OKUME Brooklyn, a wholesaler with a history of more than 150 years, Okume is the first overseas expansion, selling natural additive-free raw materials from Japan and dashi packs made from them.
In addition, we will also sell custom-made packs that have been patented in Japan in the United States. (The U.S. patent has also been applied.) Just like in Japan, you can consult with the staff of the dashi sommelier, choose what you like, and make only one dashi pack in the world.
There is a processing plant in the store, and when you finish selecting raw materials, you can see all the manufacturing processes until the product is completed by "mixing → grinding → filling → packaging".
In addition, there is also an eat-in booth that serves dishes using additive-free foods, miso soup made with Okume string, Saikyo pickles and Okume no dashi, set meals where you can taste small bowl dishes, and other dishes. At night, Chito Tsunouchi will offer carefully selected sake and shochu nationwide.
If you go to New York, please stop by.
