~ Hakutsuru Sake Brewery ~
Remotely navigate the beloved Chuo-ku, rosemary sea.
However, this time, it was not remote, but actually went to the interview.

Here, about Hakutsuru Sake Brewery's original rice "Hakutsuru Nishiki" ...
Sake rice (Sakamai) is rice that is the raw material of sake.
Shiratsuru Sake Brewery started breeding Hakutsuru Nishiki with the aim of elucidating the excellent characteristics of Yamada Nishiki, the best varieties of sake rice, and developing even better sake rice.
In 1995, we started crossing the varieties "Wataribune", the father of Yamada Nishiki, and the mother "Yamadabo", and the excellent varieties were registered as "Hakutsuru Nishiki" in 2007.
Rosemari has been introducing rice planting and rice harvesting here since rice harvesting in 2017.
Before COVID-19, we invite applicants and international students to experience rice planting and rice harvesting.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection this year, rice planting and rice harvesting will be done only by Hakutsuru Sake Brewery employees.
The long-awaited rice harvesting was carried out on October 21.
The weather is fine, and the wind is a fine wind, so it is a perfect day for rice harvesting.
Approximately 30 employees of Hakutsuru Sake Brewery participated in today's rice harvesting work.
Before starting rice harvesting, the work procedure for rice harvesting was explained.
① Hold the sickle with a handy hand and grab the rice stem with a hand opposite to the hand.
At that time, make sure that the thumb of the hand holding the stem is facing upward.
If you disagree, if you notice it, you will say "There is no thumb!", So be sure to cut your thumb upward because it is very dangerous.
② Normally, rice harvesting is cut at 1 to 3 cm from the ground, but this time, after leaving about one genko, push the jagged part of the sickle to the stem, slide diagonally and cut it.
At this time, I think I want to make it as a saw, but instead, slide it and cut it like a sharp cut.
③ With the harvested rice, we will continue to cut it for about 5 to 6 shares until we can no longer hold it.
④ Place the harvested rice on a side wooden deck or at the edge of the rice field so that the ears do not touch the soil.
⑤ The rice harvested from 5 to 6 strains is tied together with a string as one bundle.
At this time, a butterfly knot is fine, but if possible, I want you to keep this out, so it is okay to tighten it.
In that case, if weeds enter the bunch, they will be removed later, so if weeds are in, remove them and tie them.
⑥ Mowing person Concentrate on mowing during work, and in turn, change to the person who ties the string.
Anyway, please work carefully while watching the surroundings.
This time, we also took care of Ayumi Yamada, a sales support group at the Tokyo branch office of Hakutsuru Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.
Mr. Yamada is the team leader of Hakutsuru Ginza Tenku Farm.
The right of the image above is Mr. Yamada.
On the left is Ayumi Fujishiro of Seibu Landscaping and Ayumi-san of Hakutsuru Ginza Tenku Farm.
Seibu Landscaping is helping the sky farm here.
A total of four people also supported today's rice harvesting.
According to Mr. Fujishiro,
"It is the growth of rice this year, but since the rainy season was early, the growth progressed quite early.
That's why we've made quite solid rice.
The weather is very good today, and it is a paddy field that you can not imagine as the rooftop of Ginza.
(For employees who participated in rice harvesting), I hope that they can enjoy rice harvesting, including the scenery."
That's right.
At 10:22 am, we went up to the roof of the building and started rice harvesting for 16 years.
This year's special guests, 2022Miss SAKE JAPAN Grand Prix Risa Isobe and 2022 Miss SAKE Saitama Murata Mayu, also entered the field with Hakutsuru Sake Brewery employees and harvested rice. Was.
The rice is gradually harvested and bundled with strings.
About 30 minutes from the start of harvesting, the harvested rice is hung on the rice shelf at the drying stage.
This is an interview with Mr. Yamada, the team leader of Hakutsuru Ginza Tenku Farm.
Mr. Yamada, you had a hard time today.
Thank you very much.
ーWe were blessed with good weather this year, for rice growth.
Is the weather the best?
(The environment has changed a little) The sun has stopped hitting the sun, but the water temperature has not risen too much, so it may be a good thing.
I don't know because only one water temperature is measured, but just after going to the rooftop farm, it used to be 40 ° C before.
That's because it stopped at 35 ° C even at the highest time this year.
The rice grown this year was also good.
Well, this year's rainy season was early, that was the best.
It was a year when the rainy season was early and record early, this year.
I guess that area was very hot, I think that was good.
It was hot when the rice was the largest, so it first earned a lot and grew it.
It was said that the wind did not roll this time.
Some rain seemed to be strong, and the rice was falling down, but I was worried.
-The point is that the ears of the rice don't get on the ground.
If the head of the rice is attached, it will be useless, but it was not attached.
ーーYou said that you devised fertilizer this year, how was it?
I think Seibu Landscaping has seen various things, and this time it worked good.
-At the beginning, it was said that the rice grew quickly, but it wasn't too early?
Well, it's not going to happen next time.
ーWhen I saw the rice today, it was really enough.
It wasn't it.
ーThe weather was nice for the harvest today.
Well, it was good.
It was a little rainy day recently, it was good this time.
-The date of rice harvesting this time was determined by reverse calculation according to the expected date of grain inspection that will be received from now on.
Well, the grain inspection will be on November 15th.
Grain inspection is getting a little faster year by year.
The day of the grain inspection will be quite limited, since it was just decided last week.
So I couldn't make a plan, but I wanted to pull the growth of the rice to the last minute, so I decided the date quickly and reached today.
I think we can have a good drink again this year.
I think I can do it.
Well, first try threshing.
・・Thank you very much, Mr. Yamada.
Here, we introduce this year's special guest, 2022 Miss SAKE JAPAN Grand Prix Risa Isobe and 2022 Miss SAKE Saitama Mayu Murata.
First of all, this is Miss Sake JAPAN Grand Prix Risa Isobe.
Mr. Isobe won the 2022 Miss SAKE JAPAN Grand Prix from the finalists at the screening of the 2022 Miss SAKE Grand Prix (Japan National Team) on July 4.
Mr. Isobe is a management consultant.
He seems to be working for a consulting company that supports Japanese companies entering Europe.
As Miss SAKE's "ambassador to spread the appeal of sake both domestically and internationally", he said that he will work hard to contribute especially to the overseas expansion of sake.
At this Tenku Farm, as part of the Miss SAKE program, all the finalists toured the rice fields before rice planting and learned about the history and sake brewing of Hakutsuru Sake Brewery.
At that time, he also tasted Shiratsuru Nishiki, and he himself seems to be a cold sake school.
It was said that rice harvesting was my first experience, but it was very polite and good.
Next is Mayu Murata, 2022 Miss Sake Saitama. It's a model.
He said that he will strive to convey the charm of Saitama and the Japanese culture, including sake from all over Japan, to as many people as possible.
Regarding sake, he says "a bridge that connects people."
Mr. Murata was originally a cold sake school, but as I heard during rice planting, the challenge of enjoying hot sake, warm warm sake, and temperature band is also progressing.
Mr. Murata is also a finalist as part of Miss SAKE's program, and he came to Tenku Farm before rice planting, but he also participated as a special guest in the rice planting held on June 14, and planted here. We are.
Today, I had a wonderful experience of cutting the rice planted by myself.
I felt at the time of rice planting, but this rice harvesting seemed to be familiar to Mr. Murata, the work of the tea ceremony he was learning, and he was very good.
I asked Mr. Murata at the time of rice planting, "Drinking water before thirsty" has recently begun to practice rosmari, who was not good at drinking water.
・・・ I can't wait for that day when the harvested sake rice becomes a fine sake.
In addition, the daily state of Tenku Farm is also distributed on SNS. Please take a look.
