Urinoki is a deciduous Takagi of the genus Urinoki, native to North America. It was first planted in Shinjuku Gyoen in the 20s and 30s in the Meiji era. The flowers are parable to tulips and lilies, the English name is called tulip tree, and the leaves are shallowly split one or three times on the left and right, and the tip is slightly hollowed. There is also a nickname. The flowering season is from May to June, with orange patches at the base, with yellow-green cup-shaped six-petaled flowers facing upward. Due to its vigorous sprouting, rapid growth, and good tree shape, many trees are planted as street trees and park trees. Yurinoki is an important nectar source plant that secretes a large amount of nectar and contributes to beekeeping on the roof of buildings in the city center. It is a tree that can be said to be one of the pioneers of the autumn leaves season, and its colorful golden color is eye-catching. The lily tree planted on Akashicho St Luke Street leaves some yellow-green color, creating a bright view and beautiful gradation.
