Focusing on women of the Tokugawa family!
"Oman Inari Shrine" which I want to pay attention again now.

Hello. I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
There are so many shrines and temples in Chuo-ku, and there are many opportunities to visit the famous places in Ginza Hatcho Shrine and Nihonbashi Seven Lucky Gods.
However, only shrines and temples that are usually in the limelight are not proud of a long history!
There are often history and interesting stories that have been around since the Edo period, even in places quietly behind the alleys without knowing them.
In Taiga drama series currently being broadcast, Ieyasu Tokugawa is the main character, and I would like to introduce "Oman Inari Shrine", which is actually related to him.

This shrine is located between the Nihonbashi 3-chome building in the middle of redevelopment.
Although the situation tends to be inadvertently overlooked only by the situation, the street facing this shrine is named "Yojuin-dori", and it is a naming that feels some history.

So what is worrisome is "Yojuin", which has been adopted as a street name?
Is it a temple, or something else?...

The answer was in "Oman Inari Shrine" which I will take up this time.
The construction enclosure is carefully marked with a signboard indicating the location of the shrine.

As you can see from the photo below, it is a small shrine where you can take turns worship one by one, but the information board tells an interesting auspicious.

The main points of the information board are summarized as follows.

・The shrine is located in front of Ieyasu Tokugawa, in front of Yojuin (Oman, 1580-1653).
※Taiga drama series's "To do Ieyasu" The 19th edition is another person.
・She is the mother of Yorinobu Tokugawa, the founder of the Tokugawa Gosanke Kishu family, and the founder of the Mito family, Yorifusa Tokugawa.
・This shrine appeared in the record of Kanbun (1661-1673) after the great fire of the Meiryaku era.
・It is said to be the place where there was a resting place in the Shogunate.
・He makes a great contribution to commerce when a religious group of Yojuin visits the Nihonbashi area for supplies to donate Shinto and Buddha.
・Merchants built a shrine as a place related to Yojuin.
・Approximately 100 years later, in the Kanen era (1748-1751), "Omansushi", which is related to Oman Inari, became a specialty of Edo, and the neighborhood is bustling.
・Overcoming the Great Kanto Earthquake, etc., it has been worshiped as Inari Shrine, which is thriving in this area and rich in five grains.

The fence at the back of the precincts has an Edo Kirie map and a modern map, and you can see a red square and the letters "Oman Inari" in the center of the cut-out map.
It is a shrine located a little away from the sightseeing spot in Chuo-ku, but it is easily accessible from the Yaesu Exit of Tokyo Station!
Since it is a spot that leads to Taiga drama series, which is currently being broadcast, why not step into the back alley and worship?

Sweeping

By accident, the other day, I found a lost item of "Tama no Mikoshi Omumori" with embroidered vegetables in Chuo-ku.
While surprised that "There is such a talisman!", It is also true that I was worried, "Why do you embroidery vegetables even though it is a ball mikoshi?"
Immediately after returning home, I found that the ball of the ball was the daughter of a greengrocer in Kyoto, who became the concubine of the third shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu, and the mother of Tsunayoshi Tokugawa, Katsura Shoin.
It is interesting to see the fact that even though he was the daughter of a greengrocer, he was first seen by the general, leads to the familiar "tama no Mikoshi".

As is the case with Omitsu introduced this time, the influence of the women of the Tokugawa family still remains unexpectedly in Reiwa.
I visited many historical sites and shrines and temples in Chuo-ku, and combined with Taiga drama series and the accidental events mentioned above, Oman Inari Shrine became a particularly impressive shrine.
