Held for the first time in 4 years! Participation report of the 22nd Chuo-ku Snow Festival

Hello. I'm Hanes, an active correspondent.
As introduced in the previous article, the 22nd Chuo-ku Snow Festival was held at Akatsuki Park for two days on Saturday, February 11 and 12 (Sun).

Strangely, Chuo-ku observed snowfall the day before, but it was not enough to make a snowman.
However, what has been brought to Chuo-ku is a lot of snow piled up in a friendship city, Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture!
Since it was held for the first time in four years, the venue was crowded with families with many children.

From 11:00, the song corner starts on stage!
The sisters, cats, and pandas of the song performed “Toy Chachacha” and “Dog Police” to excite the venue, and the children who were on their shoulders were also enjoying themselves.

In the sled, snow kickboarding and bike area specially set up in the snow play area that spreads out in front of the stage, you can experience sports unique to winter while staying in Chuo-ku by advance reservation.♪

The snow play area itself is free to enter, so I've been playing a little bit of snow.
I saw the children enjoying themselves, making small kamakura and snowmans, and climbing the accumulated snow.

At 11:30, the opening ceremony announced the opening of this festival, and the provision of Higashine City's specialties began in the popular project "Taste Corner", which is inevitable in line.

This year, the specialty of the Snow Festival, potato broth, Higashine City's taste, konjac, oshiruko, charshu bowl, unatama bowl, kakimeshi and a menu that stirs appetite are all available!
The first potato broth is impressive with the presence of taro and has good taste and aroma.
Since it was the first time in four years, it felt even more delicious, and it was only here that I made potato broth at home the next day (laughs).

In addition, we had oysters with generous large, crisp oysters, and tamakonjac with taste. Thank you very much!

After that, go to the Higashine City PR corner set up on the east side of Akatsuki Park and the Japanese Red Cross Society PR corner (conducted only on the first day). (* PR of the Kyobashi fire brigade is carried out only on the second day)
At the Higashine City PR corner, booths such as Higashine City Agricultural Cooperative (Yoteke Popola), Keio Sakura, Higashine City Special Products Sales in Yamagata Prefecture, Rokukasen, Higashine Fruit Wine, Shosendo, Higashine City Tourism PR Corner in Yamagata Prefecture lined up .
In particular, Keio Sakura, which blooms beautiful flowers in the future, is popular, and I often saw people who have this cherry in the venue.

The Japanese Red Cross Society distributes disaster and infectious disease control goods such as canned bread, tissue, and hand gel.
"If you are prepared, you don't have to worry."
In addition, "Holiday, Fruit Tree Kingdom Higashi Cherry Marathon will be held! I also found posters for the "Fruit Kingdom Higashine Sakurabo Marathon" introduced in Harumi Wharf Park!

As you can see in the poster in the foreground, Higashine City is a fruit tree kingdom.
You can enjoy delicious cherries and La France.
Now it's still a snowy season, but I can't wait for my visit in early June.♪
